The inverse premise is that Dems arent.

Political affiliation has no bearing on goodness or evil.

Compare what one supports against the other.

And not just one example as you gave, but the overall picture.

I don't know whether I would go to the extremes of good versus evil, but the Republicans have been the party of big business and always have been opposed to any social programs.

So make of that what you will.

The inverse premise

Oh, well, when you're faced with a historic problem involving wars that kill innocent boys gathering firewood, and economic corruption on a record scale, and 99% of a nation suffering immensely because of it (even if 20% are fucking masochists who like a little pain because it titillates them - which leads to issues of consent), then the solution is obvious:

"Look!  Over there!  I think I see a muslim!  get my gun, so I can wave it till I cum!"

Distracting from immense problems with speculation about negligible problems, foreseeably resulting in incredible pain, suffering and even death is evil, and it is a methodical Republican policy.

I don't give a rat's tiny ass what went on 10 or 20 years ago, or might happen in the future.   I care about NOW, and the evil republican policies, and the harm they are doing NOW.

Nor would I argue that point, rule. I agree. But not all business is evil, not all social programs are good. Lets face it, both of them need lots of work to make them profitable for the country. Just like our politicians.

We all care about the now. Politicians care about the future... their own in office. I do believe thats a given. And if its health related, or issues with women and children, Im quite vocal about it.... regardless of who is proposing what.

The current cuts in WIC and Planned Parenthood are incredulous, considering the 8 billion dollar offered to the military. And it pisses me off the women and children are targets for those cuts. I had hoped to see the administration grow some balls and actually take these cases on. Havent seen much.

Did somebody say anything about an inverse premise?   Or caring anything about it?

Which part is wrong?

What's wrong is that the question infers that there can be some distinction between Satan and the GOP, which is patently misleading.

Actually, I think that politics is inherently prone to problems, but it takes cooperation and good faith to overcome those problems.

When the entire leadership of a political party gets off on the same sort of obstructionist behavior we see here in this forums, (eg claiming that questions are persecution, and there is no differences among a gun, knife, book, car or idiot), while meanwhile we have wars and depressions that these party regimes created (through their reckless sloth and ignorance), then we have a situation where they are deliberately trying to sabotage political compromise and progress, because they don't want to recognize people who are not as corrupt as they are, as Americans.

They would rather steal from beggars than allow the beggars to help them.   My idea of America does not include corruption, and I feel obliged to fight it, and punish them as criminal accessories if possible.   I regard their behavior as a methodical pattern of evil.

I know you tried but you didn't answer

As well, what business is actually good? That has as its main focus to help society at large and promote humanity...

Reckless wars.   Corporate welfare.

wars aren't a social program. neither is corporate welfare...

Presumptively, any consensual business is good.    The problem comes when people doing business (or anything else) disregard the legitimate rights of others.

The right to be free of the knowledge that there are people who disagree with (the impersonal) you is not legitimate.

And non-profits are no more honest than any for-profit operation.

Many are inherently LESS honest, because they hide behind tax exemptions to profit the founders.

Well of course they are, Yngblk. Who is telling you such foolishness? I was reading today that there are 100 million more young men on the planet than young women. Do you have a better way than war to balance out those social numbers?

Ah yes. The American Gestapo. Most people have no idea of just what sort of powers those agencies have, or how they can be abused.

But if I want people to die in the gutters of treatable illnesses because I oppose Obamacare, Tazzy, what does it say about you and the victims of child abuse to even raise the subject? [8|]

AFDC. Never have so many given up so much to stay in poverty for generations. The goal is noble and right, to be sure, but the execution is the path to hell.

A path made treacherous by the program itself in many cases. There was a time that if you went to school on a Pell Grant, they deducted that from your benefits.
