How can you comment on what you have not seen?

Your question isn't quite clear but I assume you are talking about the US media. I was talking about the international media (some of it US based) in the first post, which I have watched and read a good deal of over the years. Only seen the odd bit of Fox News - mainly in hotels but I wasn't commenting on that particularly til you brought it up.

Hm I meant this to be in a response to another post on another thread, my bad, it had nothing to do with sanity... mea culpa, multi tasking hiccup. My computer is having an identity crisis, it thinks its molasses and is pasting in the wrong place.
Sanity, it doesnt change the fact that Im not Jenni and Jenni is not me,
but I can see why you thought I was dredging something up
again, it was a faux pas that will be rectified in a moment in a response to thishereboi.
My bad

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/9/2011 7:08:30 AM)

Whats the most humorous about that series of posts is that you didnt even get that a front for the Muslim Brotherhood is the same as the Muslim Brotherhood.

mnottertail -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/9/2011 7:17:50 AM)

And funnier yet you don't understand the meaning of unbeknownst.

So, since Reagans Al Queda was come about from his arming, supplying and training Muslim Brotherhood guys, can we get a resolution from the congress that William F. Buckleys debates with him on NPT are now of the ilk of persona non grata?

NPR CEO Vivian Schiller resigned on Wednesday morning, the network's board announced. Schiller's resignation was reported first by NPR's media reporter, David Folkenflik. Folkenflik said Schiller had been "ousted" by the board. "The Board accepted Vivian's resignation with understanding, genuine regret and great respect for her leadership of NPR these past 2 years," the NPR board said in a statement. The news came after the latest scandal to hit the organization, this one involving one of its top fundraisers, Ron Schiller (no relation), and his comments about the Tea Party. Schiller's ouster also comes during an intense period of political pressure on NPR.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- NPR president and CEO Vivian Schiller resigned Wednesday in the wake of comments by a fellow executive that angered conservatives and renewed calls to end federal funding for public broadcasting.

The chairman of NPR's board of directors announced that he has accepted Schiller's resignation, effective immediately.

On Tuesday, conservative activist James O'Keefe posted a hidden-camera video in which NPR executive Ron Schiller bashed the tea party movement as "racist" and "xenophobic" and said NPR would be better off without federal funding. Ron Schiller is not related to Vivian Schiller.

NPR has long been a target of conservatives who claim its programming has a left-wing bias. The budget bill passed by the House last month would end funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which supports programs distributed on NPR and PBS.

A couple of things - Leftists have always been in denial regarding the bias at PBS / NPR, and now that we have the proof one question that comes to mind is, are leftists mentally incapable of recognizing such bias? Or are they simply dishonest.

And if NPR is so good at delivering the hard news... why werent they the ones to break this scandal?

Where were all the other supposed "news" organizations? This bias has been known of for years, so why is it always up to someone like James O'Keefe to break stories such as this of late.

mnottertail -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/9/2011 8:23:07 AM)

I see that you are incapable of cogent thought regarding my journal of realpolitik, which is no surprise, would you describe the bias you note so rationally in terms of the McLaughlin Group and the several conservative voices there, such as Pat Buchanan, George Will, David Gergen, Fred Barnes and so on?  Or how the only media that accepted William F. Buckleys Firing Line series (Charlie Rose took over) was PBS?  Or the debate with Reagan over the Panama Canal, broadcast only on PBS?

If your proof of concept is because they wouldn't have Limbaugh or O'Reilly on Public Broadcasting other than to laugh in their stupid fuckin' faces........well, that's a long road to hoe..

As much as you would like to think so, HuffPo is not a news organization.

An NPR insider unloads:

quote:

WILLIAMS: Well, you know what? These people are so rude and condescending and they say that people like me are bigots because I tell you what I feel. These folks are not only attacking the Tea Party as anti-intellectual and racist and bias. They attack anybody that disagrees with their point of view. This elitist, this NPR point of view that the rest of us are bunch of dummies and a bunch of rubes and we're from that country, we don't understand what's going on. And he thinks that we lack education. And only his group up there, the executive floor of NPR really understand. These folks are doing damage, Sean to real good journal lists at NPR, the people who got there and gather the news. Because they are destroying the brand, these people are just destroying NPR.

HANNITY: But Juan, you were one of them. I mean, tonight's one of those nights we are going to agree on most things. But I got to tell you, most times when you are on the program we disagree. And you offer your opinion, you're well research, you're well informed, but for them to go out there, I mean, what is this contempt? You know, in my personal opinion, liberals today may be more educated and fair and balanced than conservatives.

WILLIAMS: Can you believe that? Can you believe this?

HANNITY: Yes, I can. I can.

WILLIAMS: This to me is finally a window into how they really think. It's like you were tuning your radio and just by accident, you got the right wave and now you are hearing the truth. Because just yesterday, Schiller was saying, oh, you know what? We made a mistake in the way that we handled Juan Williams' firing, and you know what? We do need federal funding. And now here's this guy saying, oh no, we are glad we got to bum out of here, he's a bigot and he has no credibility and guess what? We don't need federal funding from NPR.

yet it gave the same information as sanitys piece.
fundraising and development is a small part of NPR obviously but ALL NPR are bias? that he had resigned before the film was shot doesnt give you even one slight inkling of doubt? hmm I wonder why

The essence of his comment is far from a nit. Just your typical attempt to dispute him by lying about what he said. Jenn.

Now as I see it, being in denial and not recognising such  bias is to ignore information of the correct kind??
oh and he said "news" organisations.. in quotes... so its open to interpretation as to possible criteria.
then in his later post quotes newsbusters..
cant have it both ways
Im not lying , lol just reading it with a different outlook than you

mnottertail -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/9/2011 10:31:09 AM)

What I find hilarious is how wholly ignorant people are outright incorrect about their little why conspiracies, as if by misdirecting with puerile questioning anyone will forget that
Reagan was the Muslim Brotherhoods Santa Claus.

BBC news carries the NPR resignation issue on the news segment, which is far more impartial than insiders are going to be.  So it is there.

Sorta like how FOX has Homer Simpson as an impartial news commentator, to offset their FAUX NUZE.
