ORIGINAL:
"When the man pretending to be Kasaam suggests to Schiller that “Jews do kind of control the media or, I mean, certainly the Zionists and the people who have the interests in swaying media coverage toward a favorable direction of Israel,” Schiller does not rebut him or stop eating. He just nods his head slightly."

Its true that he didn't trash Jews but he did state his organisation was strongly pro-Palestinian which is unfitting for any mainstream media institution. Whether the video was edited to make him look bad or not, it does seem clear though that Schiller makes very pointed attacks on conservative values and politics. I think this goes to the core of a much broader problem that confronts everybody. Generally speaking, with a few notable exceptions, the media does have a definite left wing or liberal perspective, that is sometimes an agenda with "advocacy journalism" which has become extremely popular. I don't consider myself to be particularly right or left wing so don't have a big ideological axe to grind but it seems to me this bias is profoundly damaging because the media is the primary source of information in society. If there is a particular emphasis in one direction or the other, it will inevitably influence the direction of a given society for the bad (or if for the good then for the wrong reasons). I think an agenda driven news media is extremely undemocratic.

Thank God for FOX News then, huh?

The only "fair and balanced" media source.

Dont forget HONEST

Update.

The House has already begun to weigh in. Eric Cantor

O'Keefe deserves a Medal of Freedom. What a "gift that keeps on giving".

NPR freaks have just admitted on film that they are far left extremists, or in other words I dont need to demonize these pathetic money grubbing lowlifes as theyve successfully demonized themselves

Are you fucking kidding me?

This whole topic is about a cult-like ideology that demonizes respected news services like NPR which your cult deems to be too liberal.

Freaks and lowlifes, but of course you don't mean to demonize anyone.

Very "fair and balanced".

Ever thought of applying to FOX News?

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 11:53:32 AM)

I didnt write "didnt mean to". Try reading what is actually written rather than what your weak mind imagines is written.

Focus if you can, try to concentrate.

What I wrote it that I dont need to demonize them, as theyve demonized themselves. Theyve proven out what has been known by Conservatives all along, but denied by the liars and the idiots on the left every time its been brought up.

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 12:00:17 PM)

And when have I ever claimed to be nonpartisan? Fact is, I never have, as I am keenly aware that I am sharply biased towards the correct viewpoint and that I adamantly defend it.

Yeah, what you said is the equivalent to "have you stopped beating your wife?".

Logical Fallacy: Loaded Question

This is Sanity you'r talking to, remember: expecting him to construct an internally consistent argument that works logically is like expecting a quadraplegic to juggle.

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 12:08:17 PM)

Try again, because for that logical fallacy to apply a question had to be asked, and I havent asked a question.

Where did you come up with the idea that I ever said you were?

But I do find "the correct viewpoint" extremely amusing.

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 12:10:55 PM)

Seriously... if youre going to be someones minion you could do far better than to grovel along behind a simpleton such as him.

Youre SUCH a moron. You cant even remember what you wrote two minutes ago?

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 12:19:26 PM)

This is a pretty major story, whether or not the leftists are in denial about it.

Some recent Drudge headlines:

NPR officers compare deniers of climate change to birthers and flat earth believers

NPR EXEC: 'WE WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT FEDERAL FUNDING'... MORE...

PAPER: Public broadcasting using taxpayer money -- to lobby for more taxpayer money...

Logical Fallacy: Loaded Question

It doesn't require a specific question to be asked, just an implication.

Read the link.

Here let me help:

Analysis of the Example: This is a series of loaded questions and it illustrates one of the common uses of the loaded question as a rhetorical device, namely, innuendo. The questions come at the end of the article, and presuppose the following controversial claims:
  • The American government did something to bring about the terrorist attacks.
  • The public doesn't learn anything from the press about that government's mistakes.
  • The public is not learning about what's happening in Afghanistan.
  • Central Asia's oil reserves are somehow pertinent.
  • There are some unspecified links between the Bush and bin Laden families.
No evidence is given in the article for any of these claims. Loaded questions are used in this way to slip claims into rhetoric without the burden of proving them, or the necessity of taking responsibility for unproven assertions.

Yeah well, everything you post is a logical fallacy in that case, rml.

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 12:33:22 PM)

I believe this calls for a House investigation, as it pertains directly to spending:

quote:

NPR and PBS stations nationwide are rallying their audiences to contact Congress to fight against Republicans’ proposed spending cuts, but some affiliates’ pleas may violate laws preventing nonprofits or government-funded groups from lobbying.

Interrupting popular programs, the stations air warnings that cuts could end beloved children’s television shows such as “Sesame Street.” Some stations urge their audience to call and let Congress know their feelings, while others go further, instructing viewers to “stop the Senate” or “defend federal funding” for public broadcasting.

Nothing I wrote two minutes ago personally denigrated you unless you are so delicate that you view any criticism as an attack.

In contrast to you calling me a moron, a simpleton, and weak-minded.

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 12:46:07 PM)
