Nope, not Brad Pitt, sorry girls. Quite often out here, there is this low-brow rejoinder to our friends in the UK, Canada and other english speaking US Territories.... You have no clue of american politics. Or worse, Why don't you keep your beak in your own business you limey bastard and stay out of our politics. Now, (after a sorta rough beginning) they have been our NATO partner and close ally through thick and thin, for years and eons. They are involved in the Libya situation, the Iraq situation and were involved the Afghanistan sitution and on and on, us shipping back and forth to one another, banking with each other, doing the on the road movies together......we each share a common vital interest globally, for many issues--- So why can't they involve theirselves in our politics and convey as a people their political takes and thoughts on America?

Invariably your politics affects our politics, what comes to pass in America usually ends up over here as well. But from my own perspective it amazes me the trust you appear to have in your politicians. Now maybe your politicians are different from ours, but here most believe politicians are in it for themselves first and foremost, that being aye they will do something for the electorate, but they will make sure they get something out of it along the way, usually a further foothold on the political back.

The only thing that gets to me sometimes is their whining... Some like to blame the US for everything that happens in the world but ignore the fact that their own country in complaisant. Rather then rant at us they should rant at their own governments. As far as commenting on America and our politics well...its good to have freedom of speech isn't it. Butch

I have no issues with their participation,as a matter of fact some of my favorite posters are furriners(polite and lucy jump to mind).Perhaps for the purposes of this thread...you need to hear from those that have the issues...though I expect that for the most part...they will not participate.

The other thing of course, is this is a public forum on an international website, where anyone may post if they wish regardless of their nationality or country of residence. If Americans don't like foreigners commenting on their affairs, then it is simple, don't post threads on American politics, but you can't decry foreigners who question your politics themselves, for the reason could well be they don't understand so therefore they are asking instead of remaining in ignorance. But quite often from foreigners perspectives there are many an American that turn out not to understand either, so threads started educate all.

Just wait a few years… when Texas and some of the northwest states secede there will be a few openings. I’m sure we could fit you all in….after a little political cleansing. [:D] PS... But you will have to pay for your own damn health insurance!!
