I have heard the bigots on this board say some stupid things about the right, but you should get an award for this one.

I suppose in your world, republicans don't get sick and need to go to the doctors. It's just the poor little liberals who are suffering. Maybe if you see a doc you could get some meds for that, but I'm a repub so I won't be willing to pay. Suck it up baby.

I answered...

Again, dyb - its the Dems who are being vicious to grandma, by spending more than we take in at outrageous levels, thereby raising the national debt so incredibly high that soon we will owe more on interest than we can possibly pay.

Ever heard of the word 'default'? If we fail to cut spending in a meaningful way, at some point in the near future the Dems chickens will come home to roost and the cuts will be deeper, and they wont be nearly as pretty.

quote:

ORIGINAL: DomYngBlk
And how about the question about grandma.....you pushing her to the street after her benefits run out?

I smell chicken, come on candy ass...just come out and say it. Its what you believe.....stand up and be counted. Beck wants to hear you loud and clear...come on now. All this time blowing air, I would think you'd welcome the chance to state it clearly. What would you do...

No, it doesn't look like he will. So maybe you can do better. What happens to grandma today when she reaches her cap and the money is gone?

The point is, if Sanity can not answer the question with a decent level of maturity and knowledge, DYB wins the arguement. Sanity could present a counter arguement that is based on being an adult on the subject, and displaying indepth evidence that backs up his arguement's point, without agreeing with DYB. But then, this is Sanity we are talking about....

Where are the  Dems at on feeding the bottom 98% of earners joe?

Giving them cars, housing, electronics, fake boobs, and spending money for the weekend?

Why isnt the minimum wage a billion dollars a minute?

The answer is an easy one, the Dems are heartless, and they just dont care.

Yeah, cus the Republicans are so 'pro-healthcare' for the bottom 98% of income earners in the United States, right?

Get real, Sanity. Republicans would like to scrap healthcare, and then forget it even existed. They care about as much for the bottom 98% of income earners in this country as they do of life on Jupiter.

Republicans get sick!?!?!?!?!?!
[/shocked]

In my world, Americans treat each other with honesty, respect, generousity, and forgiveness. Its a burden that I have to live in this world. A world in which to many conservatives are just to stupid and foolish to consider that working on having better health coverage for all Americans, not just certain ones, is a bigger gain then anything else. That not all human bodies are equally healthy, but that all bodies are equal under the law.

I've always been of the opition that health care is neither a right or a privilage for Americans, but a needed concept. A needed concept that superceeds the right and the privilage!

Why isnt food a right joe? Why stop at health care. Why shouldnt the government have to take care of my every need. Why should anyone have to work for anything when we have the federal government, whose very job it is to spoon feed us, read us a bed time story, and tuck us in at night with a warm glass of milk.

Anybody libtards don't agree with? Gotta be a bigot! Easy breezy! Y'all need to watch some more michael moore movies there, muchacho. I don't know why I bother, but I will try again. The further you put people from the product or service, the more the cost goes up. Insurance is part of that. Obamacare will totally crush us and make people even more irresponsible about their actions and more dependent on government. But that's what they want! So o'dumbo comes in as the savior, prints more worthless money, spreads it around to his buddies, and controls everything! Pretty neat trick, eh? Good grief, people, how could the majority of voters be so stupid as to vote for a totally unqualified man for president? It used to be the media vetted candidates. All we got out of the media was that they got a tingle up their leg when he read his scripted speeches. Unbelievable.

No caps. Granny paid her dues and deserves to live her days out in whatever peace can be found in a nursing home. Revenues, have to be raised....

That is a wonderful thought and something you could work on changing, but lets stick with how it is currently being done.  What do people do today when grandma reaches her cap and the home threatens to kick her to the curb?

I'm going to answer your questions honestly, and truthfully. Only because I'm not afraid of speaking my mind, unlike you. Since if DYB were to ask me a fair question, I would have answered him by now.

The Recovery and Reinvestment Act help keep the economy from sliding from a recession into a full blown Depression. Your to young to remeber the Great Depression. Let me just state it this way: It sucks more then our economy right now.

Second, the Affordable Care Act was set up to handle many problems we Americans were facing with our health coverage (or lack there of due to 'pre-exististing conditions'). Is it 'Holy Bible' perfect? Hell no, but we have the tools to make improvements with time and patience. Most Americans like the ACA or want it improved on, and that's been shown in quite a number of polls.

Democrats have been the party that advocates for the poor. You know, the folks MOST likely to be hungry? Yes, they dont do it for votes (even though thats how selfish and foolish conservatives view it), but because its the RIGHT FRAKKING THING TO DO! No American should be left to starve. And for God sake, not a child!

Must I keep going on, Sanity? I can...

Just like Republicans gave tax breaks to corporations, and 'no bid constracts' to companies on a war they sold to the American people based on totally false information? And how did Republicans pay for that war in Iraq, Sanity?

Your going to find the amount of money Democrats are accused of giving away, is not even a 1/10th of what Republicans manage each and every year.

We didn't vote on it. Or should I say correctly; we haven't voted on it....yet. But thanks for the suggestion, Sanity! I'll enter it into the DNC's suggestion box on your behalf (just so we give proper credit, where credit is due, right?). What are friends for, eh?

As far as I know there are already spending caps on medicare. It's not an open system where you have unlimited cash. In fact if I read jlf's post correct it already doesn't cover enough to help him.

Medicare only pays 80% of covered expenses. For my dialysis my out of pocket expenses were sufficient to drain all my savings until I was broke enough to qualify for Medicaid as well.

You have to move grandma to one of the really shitty nursing homes that accepts medicaid, if you can find one. Otherwise you pay out of pocket or you take her home.
