Imo that is a whole BS fabrication to make women feel like there is something wrong with them that they need to use those products daily, and/or use light days every day to "stay fresh" (which it doesnt). Women that are healthy and dont allow anal to pussy and take care of themselves, like wearing cotton which breathes instead of polyester, have no need of being brainwashed into forking over hard earned money for those products. There could be something going on with some women that have a strong smell but those products dont do anything to solve the problem.

Funny, I dont see the same sort of commercials for products for guys with stinky crotch... think guys would run out and buy that crap?

Status: offline 		I happen to agree with Sunny on the oversanitization issue.  Barring a health problem that causes an unnatural stink, anyone who showers daily smells just fine IMO.  Max and I don't even use any chemicals under our arms.  We like the natural scent of each other, there and everywhere else.

One other thing I wanted to add. Sex, and certainly unprotected sex can lead to women giving off a more pungent odour. I love the intimacy of no barriers between me and my Owner, but overdoing it can lead to me smelling like a fish market on a hot day! So it could be that if she was normal smelling when you met her, but it changed later on in the relationship, that your bodily fluids are the cause of her change in smell. The same cures apply though - wash regularly, stay clean, and get cream if you think it's something more than just hygiene.

Status: offline 		hormones can change the way someone smells to you. when i first met my husband i thought he smelt wonderful until i became pregnant. as the pregnacy went on i disliked his smell even more, to the point where i could gag. that wasn't crotch smell, but just his natural body smell. i was worried that i would always be like that, but as soon as the baby was born and my body settled down, everything went back to how it was.

i'm very body concious about smells and have been told that my sence of smell is very heightened. i can get a little obsessive about down there when it comes to smells and like to wash at least twice a day when on my own but more if with someone. i make sure i wipe when i go to the loo too. i am very self concious if he wants to go down there up close and personal and i've been active through the day and not had chance to wash. but then if he says it's what he wants and he doesn't care, so be it. i have no problem going down on him in the same situation. but there is a huge difference between fresh sweat and sex smells to someone who just isn't clean. i actually love giving him a bj hours after we've had sex and i can smell both of us on him. i have found that if i'm nervous or worried it changed the way i smell too so i guess that works for others.

as for the cervix being any part of keeping us clean and fresh smelling......i'm not sure i'd agree with that. the orgasm is certainly good for the body yes, but since i nolonger have a cervix and smell better due to not having periods anymore i don't see the relation.

and now the nature bit......have you never noticed that animals all head for the crotch? nature does use the crotch as a broadcasting system and it's primary way is smell. the male will always smell a female in cycle and ready for breeding. just because we have adapted our life style doesn't mean that we are nolonger animals governed by nature. we have become so clean that smells that once would have been normal to us are now considered over powering. nature intened us to smell for the primary function of reproduction, and yes guys would have always wanted to stick their face down there.

I have a personal belief about all of this, based upon my own life experiences. If a person is in good health, eats properly, bathes as needed, does not smoke, does not drink to excess, does not take medications or abuse drugs, they will most likely smell and taste wonderful.

That being said, when I dive in I do not want to smell or taste chemicals.......no perfume, no fake chemically created fruity shit. I just want to smell and taste healthy, sexually aroused woman. If someone walks around smelling like a cheap perfume shop, cigarette smoke, yesterday's beer, a night hovering over a deep fat fryers, or stinky ass or pits, I will more than not get close enough to care about the scent of her vagina because I will not be attracted to her.

1. Vaginal Dryness - No, the inside of my vagina is never "dry", no woman's is. Just like the inside of anyone's mouth is never dry but sometimes it's variable and we call it "dry mouth" even though the mouth is not actually dry. Our vaginas naturally shrink, and produce less fluid when not aroused. It most definitely sits in there a bit. Masturbation is a great way to reboot. After a rough day at work when I can't get work off the brain, and I am so far from aroused, and stressed out and achey my vibrator is my best friend. It's also great during and towards the end of my period. Relieves cramps, loosens things up, and makes everything flow better ;)

2. No Orgasms - No one's vagina is stinkier just because they don't orgasm. That was never implied. It was also never implied that jacking off is the only way to stay clean. Also, unless someone also can't produce any fluid, or experience any arousal at all, there is still a lot of benefit to vaginal health. Also, if you don't have orgasms, talk to a professional about it. They now have adjunct medications for SSRis which relieve the no orgasm effect. There is awesome therapy for trauma survivors that can assist with regaining healthy sexuality. There is more treatment and understanding from the physiological standpoint. There are things that can be done. Due to a wonky brain and screwed up past my orgasms can get elusive and it SUCKS! But there is hope out there.

3. Stinky vagina after sex without a condom - This totally happens to me! And sometimes I can get a bit icky from latex too, especially since I have a touch of allergy to latex. Guess what is a great way to fix that problem ;)

4. Douching - Not a big fan, but whatever works for you. Most Saturdays I set up a big elaborate at home spa, and do a lot of self pampering and hygiene that I don't have to do. It makes me feel better though.

as a rule, i like the way women smell pretty much all the time. when one is really rank, i just don't go down on her is all. i don't use any smelly hygeine products. i like smelling like a human. i like people who smell human too. one summer i spent 2 months at a sex-cult commune where the only bathing was in a freezing stream or in the equally chilly ocean. we all stank but we didn't really notice, we got used to it.

Like I said, some of the feminine hygiene commercials on TV have been reminding me of this topic lately...so I thought I'd post. I'm actually very thankful for TV commercial addressing feminine odor issues, at least making this subject easier to accept, talk about and deal with.


I would really find it a problem if I thought I smelled. As I don't, (or my long term partners are revolting liars with amazing breath control abilities) I've never had to face it, or even think about it.

I prefer M to smell. I'm a bit disappointed if he showers before he comes. I'm not like him at all.
We're rather suited as I'm a wet-wipe fiend and he's fine letting me enjoy his rather lovely *smells*.

If my *scent* didn't suit him, he'd either swab me down himself or shove me off to do it.
Never happened yet. I don't actually care that much, because if I DID smell , it's likely that I've been buggered and fucked beforehand........and here, we aren't far from a tap, a bit of warm water and a towel, nor are we sensitive about having a swill round.

Just a note on smelling your own *self*....I'm not sure how sensitive other people are to their *bits* but I'm not sure if I could *know* if I smelled in some hideous way. I smell just super to ME...I always have. I smell myself lots.If I smelled awful, I've always assumed M would chuck me in the shower again and scrub me himself, or something similar, as that's been understood for ever. We're just likely to say * Yikes, you stink!*.and laugh. We expect to smell.

I am a straight male submissive; one with a heightened sense of smell. I love the variances in aroma from woman to woman or day to day with the same woman. For me scent is all part of loving women. Strong or faint; as long as health and hygiene are not issues I am game. I will say that my preference is for a faint clean scent; at least at the beginning of a session. Things change with arousal and play. And I love all of those changes as they come – though I would not necessarily like them at the outset of play.

Though I would not state a strong “gamey” aroma as my favorite I can think of situations where I love those as well. Restrained, knowing I am about to be queened by a strong smelling woman is a huge turn on for me. Whether from recent exercise or a day at the office that fresh, but strong aroma will soon engulf me. The fact that I find it too strong for my taste is a part of my submission; also a challenge for me to lick her into a more appealing aroma.

These things are usually discussed as a Domme/sub relationship is in the very early formative stages as a natural part of us learning the interests, desires and limits of each other. As I said I am straight, men just do not interest me; with one huge exception. When being used by the right Domme; One that has me completely under her control (with or without physical restraint) I may be used by a man for my Dommes amusement. In short if the hygiene is good, the aromas are wonderful to me.

Status: offline 		it's never fun to hear negatives, but if i smell 'off' i want to know-politely, kindly-but i want to know.  Some women prefer douche-fine, their choice.  But dominant or not, the man who wants me to smell like a strawberry better smell like one himself.  i refuse to smell like strawberries or anything other than clean woman.  Nor do  i want his  to taste like something other than clean male. i had one friend whose Dominant liked her to service other males-who at times were less than fresh.  She solved this by making a sponge bath part of her routine.Personally,i've asked Him (very very politely) to make sure they shower and shave.

Years later, I was with someone else and...could this be a ph thing?  It burned like someone had put Draino up there and I would swell almost shut.  Any repeat sex for 2-3 hours afterward would trigger HARD muscle spasms inside, making penetration impossible or...make me be screaming HELL NO!  LOL.  No stank with that one, even if we did it straight after he came home from work, all funky and unshowered.  (He had some ED because of high blood pressure and diabetes, so wearing a condom was out of the question; it would shrivel up if he tried to wear a "raincoat.")
 
I don't know if I was reacting to his meds, something he ate or drank, something like a ph mismatch, or if I had developed an actual allergy to ejaculate.

I do not want some "stank" worries to come back on me, so if anyone has information on why two healthy people could get together and have this unfortunate side effect happen, give me a link, please.  By the time my gyn appointments came up, the gyn said there was nothing wrong with me. 

With the "Draino" thing, I went to the gyn the next afternoon and was feeling a bit raw still but not too bad, until he inserted the speculum and opened it up and clicked it into place.  Holy hannah, the spasms hit hard and there I was screaming on that table.  No, the evilratb*stard did not remove it, and I panted out "SPASMS!"  In the end, he found nothing wrong and sent me home.  (Too bad he didn't insert his gloved fingers after the speculum was out and not just before.  The spasms might have almost broken some of his bones, lol, and then he would have taken my problem seriously.)

It would have been nice to get more info on this from my gyns so I could understand WTF happened each time.

Status: offline 		Thanks for posting CynthiaWVirgina. Frustrating ain't it? Because these medical professionals are supposed to be able to figure out what is wrong. Yet, often fail to do it sending people home.

I've had to deal with Balanitis outbreaks with only two partners in my lifetime. It was really strange how I was fine, then this madness occurred in the middle of sex. Frustrating going to Doctors not getting straight pin point exact cause answers and being dismissed. A little strange that this only happened with these two women and nobody else. Yet, when they went to get checked out they got a clean bill of health.

Clearly something specifically at work that caused this to occur while in the middle of fucking. I've never had an balanitis outbreak otherwise, nor with other partners.

Medical Professionals /*Fail (what's wrong with this picture?)

I'm convinced that most medical professionals are only concerned at looking for the most obvious things, and are too lazy to bother testing for less common causes. They don't know how to deal with something not on their preprogrammed seek and treat routine. Amounts to either ignorance or laziness (worse case both) in my opinion.
