Sanity -> RE: Use of insulting names (5/21/2011 8:20:36 PM)

Racism and racist jokes etc are serious TOS violations and most Conservatives here report such lowlife behavior as readily as anyone else

So surely you must be referring to the bizarre yet very common phenomenon of leftists accusing anyone who disagrees with Obamas politics of being racist

I get pissed off when people show disrespect to Obama, and then realize that I did the same for Bush.  Eye opener.

You know what cracks me up about that... it is the hypocrisy of those on this thread that decry those who called Bush names, and even those who were friendly to them, and now they sit on their hands and say NOTHING about the blatantly racist names that Obama is called, and the racist jokes about Obama... etc etc etc....

Some of those very people are posting on this thread....

Got examples, Julia? Something down to the level you set with Bush? Or are you just flailing in the wind? I have expressed my thoughts to several right side posters who follow a different standard than others. It ain't my job to scold them on every thread.

Racist... That's interesting Julia. Tell us, do you think it is racist, or not racist, to apply a different standard in the discussions of President Obama, than was applied to President Bush II, simply because of the color of his skin?

How about your attempts to link President Obama to the "new black panther" thing last year?

Does using racial code words but not actually using racial slurs mean you`re not a bigot?

And then there is the fact that racist comments are scrubbed off the forum, doesn't leave much evidence, does it

which is precisely why you just got the indiana ruling and the corporation ruling.

because people dont give a fuck

Absolutely true. I don't care that Bush, Reagan or Clinton got honorary knighthoods AFTER they left office. The fact is, their knighthoods have ZERO to do with Indiana or anything else. Keep it, real, dude.

TheHeretic -> RE: Use of insulting names (5/21/2011 8:36:33 PM)

Do clarify, O59. It seems like you are saying that if race is discussed, it's automatically racist?

You use the word "racist", and it's deriviatives a lot. Why don't you tell us what you think it means?

Wow, Julia, Just... fucking wow.

You called the President of the United States "monkeyboy" for years, and you really want to say these things now?

It's lucky for you that the rapture wasn't today, because you have slime on your soul.

juliaoceania -> RE: Use of insulting names (5/21/2011 8:46:51 PM)

Sinergy called him this, not me, I did a search on the term, mostly I am quoting Sinergy, making reference to Sinergy calling him this, etc etc etc

I did call him "war mongering piece of shit", but no, not monkeyboy... I do not like to insult monkeys

edited to add, I think you are hysterical, thinking god cares what we post on CM

Owner59 -> RE: Use of insulting names (5/21/2011 8:49:31 PM)

I`ve aways gone with the traditional definition.

A racist is someone who discriminates based on race. But one needs to be in a position of power to exercise those actions, to be a racist. With that definition, there aren`t many "racists" besides a few politicians/employers/preachers/broadcasters with the power to hurt people.

Most folks with racial prejudice(or gender prejudice,cultural/religious prejudice(like you),xenophobes, etc) are simply bigots.

How's this? You seem downright gleeful about the whole thing here.

quote:

And here people were so upset when my Daddy called him "Monkey Boy" and it turns out he was right all along... the media has broke the story... we indeed have a monkeyboy for a president

"The Monkey in the middle"...omg she is so freaking right on

Edited to add, I am going to make sure my Daddy sees this thread... he is going to love it!

juliaoceania -> RE: Use of insulting names (5/21/2011 8:56:30 PM)

I was posting an article making reference to something that Sinergy would get a kick out of, and yes, I still think it is funny[:D]

The fact is I did not say it over and over and over again as you asserted, you had me confused with someone else. Even in the post you quote I am talking about what other people call him

Here is the thing, I never asserted some false moral highground about calling leaders names... you have

That is patently false

It is unfortunate that instead of admitting he was incorrect, he has to try to twist me making a joke out of something someone else posted...

If you do a search on monkeyboy and my name, you will see me saying a few times "don't make fun of monkeys"[:D]

I always liked the way Dr. King put it. To judge each other by the content of our character, rather than the color of our skin.

So affirmative action is racist then, by your definition. Checkboxes on scholarship applications would be racist too. So we have good racism, and bad racism, then?

Since you've brought up the power variable as the weasel "but", after bringing up the Black Panther case as well, now please tell us how powerless the Attorney General was, referencing "my people," in relation to the case?

That's very classy with the bigot shot up there. Were you trying to use words to hurt? Tell us this too. If you love President Obama so much, why do you constantly betray his vision?

Brain -> RE: Use of insulting names (5/21/2011 9:23:06 PM)

Usually when someone calls Obama a bad name it identifies them as being politically unsophisticated so I don't take what they have to say as seriously.

juliaoceania -> RE: Use of insulting names (5/21/2011 9:23:13 PM)

Why do you take yourself so seriously? I used to think you had a sense of humor... it seemed to have died somewhere... and to think you used to say I was too serious....

Did you read the individual quotes? I did, they we me quoting Sinergy mostly.... but I think you knew this and you are just banking that everyone (including me) is too lazy to look...

What a fucking bunch of bullshit you are turning out to be.
