I would totally eat that, except I'd probably be jumped by Greenpeace in between extracting said brains and researching historical recipes for them. 

I've already packed up my extensive historical food library, but I do recall several classic treatments for dolphin meat from different cultures that would be quite fascinating to attempt.  The problem is, they start with, "First, harpoon one dolphin".  Logistical issues aside, pissing off federal wildlife authorities is not on my to-do list.  Alas, I will never taste that much-vaunted dish of ortolans, though I have cooked my way through most of Apicius and Brillat-Savarin that does not involve endangered species.

I'm not ashamed. I don't hide. I've come out. But there is a difference between your daughter "knowing" and someone putting something in their face. There are people and places where folks can lose custody of their children, can lose their jobs, can be deported or jailed. For some people the boss or the police or the parents of the children you work with would villify and destroy you.

Not all of the people on here are as lucky as you are, Arp.


ETA: Why don't you give your ex and your daughter the gory details? Are you ashamed? Why do you hide them? When you answer that, I think you may find the understanding of my point of view.

Wow.   When I turned off my computer last night I was on page 2, since then, 3 more pages!   I couldn't read every response in detail but when I find more time I definately will.

The common theme I picked up though is from the comment I made about the general public percieving me as a pervert for being here.

I don't think everyone here is a pervert.  But it would be naive to save that no one here is.  The reality is the outside stigma assosciated with the BDSM community is that of kinky SEX.  Sex being the key word.  Unfortunately, people are afraid of what they don't understand.  I certainly don't view everyone here as a pervert and I'm sure not everyone outside of BDSM would view this page or lifestyle as perverse.  Even if the vast majority of the universe wouldn't see this scene as a perverted sex industry then I still wouldn't show my photo in assosciation with it because theres the off chance some will..

That's a bit harsh, you and I don't show our faces completely, nor do a few others on here, due to privacy concerns, I think the OP is a bit paranoid about it, but you know rather safe than sorry, we don't really know his environment and rumors can mess with people's jobs and all that. I understand not having a picture on the profile where you can be easily identified but if you are ready to meet somebody, you want to know what the other person looks like or get a feel for him/her... Unless of course you do the "Wear a red rose in your mouth and swing from the chandelier" thing, personally I always found that a bit too "out" for public places such as restaurants...

Seriously, I think there is a slight chance you may be judging people a little too harsh, and a little too quick. You've been a member for 3.5 months and have 54 posts. {That isn't a staggering amount of time or input to already feel dejected.}

Calm down, maintain an open mind, don't obsess over finding "The Almighty One", be interactive in the forums, show your personality, allow people to get to know you, and maybe you'll be successful.

Woe is me :D  

No well, I'm complaining because I'm longing for something I haven't found and I've been looking on and off here for a while.  Sometimes under another profile a long time ago.
I kind of, come and go in flusters.  I might search for a bit, message some women etc.  Poke around here and so forth, then something happens in my life where I will have to put this to one side for a month maybe?  Maybe a year?  Then I come back again still searching. 

And yes we are all Pervs, lets just admit it :D no no.
