Sorry, Darling, I am totally in Roch's camp. Speaking as a businesswoman with professional credentials and such, and having had fingerprintings for work/licenses. I reckon "get over yourself" is the first step toward knowing yourself, and it is DEFINITELY as step toward submission.

Well, 'get over yourself' is what I said to him, Lady Hib - albeit put more kindly. Besides, I've noticed that when people are told just to 'get over themselves', they rarely do. Usually, they just become more arsy. The few times that's been said to me on this forum, I've simply beaten up, verbally, those who've said it. There are few phrases better calculated to ensure that the hearer never learns a damned thing from the saying of it. Hell's bells, you know I don't get this about people here, sometimes. People can change. I did, so why shouldn't others? The pessimism of CM gets to me sometimes, I have to admit.

The difference, Darling, is that while you had certain berk-like elements, you were not bonded to being a unique snowflake. Or an ego-laden prat. I don't have any pics of myself up, but I will send one. Because I am a CPA, not the governor of the state.

How else am I going to masturbate to the image in my mind of him bound, gagged, helpless and being violated if I don't know what he looks like? Seriously though. I think most people in general don't want to invest time into something that will never work out because of a basic lack of chemistry anyway. And online, there are a lot of people who aren't serious about anything anyway - so it's a step toward making a commitment that they are willing to invest time. If you need to avoid sending pictures, I think you need to be prepared to meet in person quicker, or move things into another credible medium immediately, like voice to voice. A lot of people share your need for discretion. You just have to be patient in your searches. If there's good chemistry, it might buy you some patience, but online is a tricky medium - hopefully you have a stellar phone voice. Akasha

I agree. That's what I prefer to do. I like to meet in person as quickly as possible. Not only does this seem to weed out those who would waste my time, but I've found that it's much easier to ascertain chemistry in person. Despite that, I still have not problem sending someone a nice, vanilla face pic.
