Saggy skin thoughts. No mattter what, when you lose weight, you're going to have extra skin. The older you are, the more likely it is to stay saggy because as you age, you lose collagen in your skin. The best ways to combat that is to consistantly tone the muscles under the skin, and apply lotion. Lotion helps to moisturize the skin and the actual act of applying it increases blood flow. The skin will slowly tighten up as you tone the muscles underneath. Which is why people who lose weight by dieting alone will have MORE extra skin than people who exercise. And people who only do cardio based exercise will have more skin still than people who do weight bearing exercise. I tell everyone not to be afraid of extra skin, its still healthier, and its proof of everything youuve accomplished. And hell, win tthe lottery and you can get it all cut off. Haha. Ok, sorry, nevermind. Gravity sucks, especially for us women. Weight training, clean eating, LOTS of water consumption, and a good moisturizer can help fight against it somewhat.
