ORIGINAL: barelynangel Impishhellcat, It's not a race, do what you can as every little bit counts. Just a reminder, you have been doing GREAT! So now you simply need to incorporate the formal exercising. I am going to say this and take it in the spirit is intended as it's intended with good faith, be careful you don't let "life" become the excuse. This is about life changes and there will always be something that keeps you, if you let it, from actively working out in a formal way. So be sure to note that on these days you haven't actually scheduled working out, you park farther away, you put more activity into your day in what you ARE doing. It doesn't all have to be done in a day, but small changes and as it's been said, working out should be just as important as any other thing you have going on in your day, so schedule it just as you would any meeting, class, downtime etc. You have been doing awesome, and will simply build on the strong foundation you have been creating. angel Angel I get what you are saying. I think maybe my point didn't come across as I liked. I walk. All the time. I park farther away on campus. However, I used to work out hardcore 5 days a week. I would do a TRX class 2x's a week, a strength and tone class 1x a week and then I would run two days. I wasn't thin I've never been thin, but I was toned very well in most areas except my core. Now that I've started school my schedule has been very hectic. It has been extremely difficult to even find down time. I walk the dogs almost every day except exam weeks, four days a week I spend 3 hours a day in the car traveling to and from school, on top of my wifely duties, studying, class, and caring for the dogs. I try to fit as much sleep into that schedule as I can, but most nights I'm up till at least midnight and most days I'm up before 6am. So, I do a lot less than what I'm used to. While I am not inactive ultimately if it comes down to sleeping, eating, or seeing my husband those things will end up taking priority over a work out. On weekends, the dogs and I have been hiking about four miles a day. Things will calm down in December when I'm not taking 15 credits.
