Since logging on here with my new name three weeks ago, I have received several hundred mail messages. I feel its mainly because of my pictures, which is why I use a avatar now in the forum. I really have tried to respond to all, even when not interested, though the one liners usually get ignored. I utilize the bulk mail control, yet when I respond to those messages, it does not indicate that I have responded, so mail sometimes get lost in the masses. Sorry Guys.

I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who has this problem.

The majority type of mail I get:
One liners,
Form letters of Laundry lists, I thought that was what the profile was for?
Those in other countries
No one states maritial status in profile or mail. It is funny how one can write about all their interests and where they live and work, but they leave this very important detail out.
Lot of nude photos, one guy even went as far as writing my name on his naked body and sent me several shots of it. I guess those types think that size matters to me! LOL

Someone here once pointed out about unresponded email, "I don't ask someone to mail me, so why should I respond when they do?" I try to be polite since CM is an advertising personal site, but am starting to agree.

Also, I try to read and respond to mail in private if I can, sometimes it isn't always the case and might read mail and then go back to answer later when I am not being distracted. Yet I do get a lot of distractions.

Hang in there and good luck!

Perhaps it's just an issue with people in the bassakwards area that I live in but I am sick and tired writing a well composed letter to somone who's profile piques your interest only to get absolutely no response whatsoever. I tell someone about myself and point out the things in their profile that I said that makes me think that we would be compatible and the things that I thought were interesting and then there's nothing...Check the sent messages and see that your message has been read and they've been online several times since but still nothing. I mean how hard is it to just reply with something like "thanks, but no thanks"?

I hear the words of Rush playing in my head..."If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice". A non response IS a response that sends a pretty clear message. "I'm not interested" is the one that I would assume from a non response. Granted it's rude, but I wouldn't waste a bunch of time worrying about it...just move forward to the next.

.......You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill, I will choose a path thats clear.....I will choose free will. Im sorry, had to do that, Im a big RUSH fan, have been since I was 8 and Im 37 this year. Anyway, Ive had the same thing happen often, the think is its hard to respond to a note *if you cant be bothered* and there are people online just as there are in real life who just cant be bothered. Its a pain in the ass but theres nowt you can do apart from leave them to it and move on.

Surely these men who desperately keep sending emails out to any woman who login to CM must come into contact with women in their daily lives? Even if the answer is no which is why they are here emailing women, after a dozen emails sent out and no replies returned, surely they start to get the message?

If women are getting inundated with emails, that is obviously the answer as to why no one gets replies, which to a point renders profiles pointless.

Perhaps people should logoff a little more often and get a real life?

If I want to respond to an email I will, and if I don't, I won't. What type of email it is decides whether it gets a response. No one is under any obligation to read or reply to email from a stranger if they choose not to. While I generally try to be courteous, there are some emails it's better to just delete and ignore.

I don't feel compelled to answer all emails, I just answer the ones I want.

Move on dear, if someone does not respond to a message it's an answer it's "I am not interessed" like mistoferin said, you shouldn't make a thing like this stop you in your search!
Perhaps it's easier for me to find someone because I am a female but i don't think so because I am picky as hell and well... lucky enough I found someone here in Iceland that I adore :D

If you REALLY are into finding someone then start searching because she/he might not be here or maybe he/she is... can one be sure? Would you want to give up without really looking and maybe just miss the right one?

Think about it :)

"A non response IS a response"

True but a non response is more of a "i'm a bitch and i'm think that i'm too good to even aknowlege your existance" much more than "no thanks" does.

This REALLY makes you sound bitter

I read, and most of the time I reply, to the messages that I get via email. However, even if you wrote the most captivating letter to me, it is highly unlikely that you would get a response from me. "Why?", you ask... well, it's like this. Before I respond to a message, I take the time to visit the person's profile, and see what they tell me about themselves there. If there is nothing in the profile to let me know about the person, I won't respond. I tend to avoid getting into long private email discussions with complete strangers ( I save that for the message boards), and if an individual won't even open up a little about themselves in their profile, I don't have much hope of them being able to hold up to the extensive communications involved with being part of our household (and I have to tell you that going through the laundry list on the left isn't telling me about -you-... I avoid that particular portion of the profile except to look for 2 things that we require somewhere other than the "Can't Stand It" sections.)

Before you worry about who isn't responding to you, perhaps you want to provide something for them to respond -to-. Just an idea...
