Fox Nation is a blog... but go on pretending that its the same as FOX NEWS if you want, if thats what makes your mouth foam

The Fox Nation was created for people who believe in the United States of America and its ideals, as expressed in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a community that believes in the American Dream: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. One that believes being an American is an honor, as well as a great responsibility – and a wonderful adventure.

This is a place for people who believe we live in a great country, a welcoming refuge for legal immigrants who want to contribute their talents and abilities to make our way of life even greater. We believe we should enjoy the company and support of each other, delighting in the creativity, ingenuity, and work ethic of one and all, while observing the rules of civility and mutual respect and, most importantly, strengthening our diverse society by striving for unity.

The Fox Nation is committed to the core principles of tolerance, open debate, civil discourse, and fair and balanced coverage of the news. It is for those opposed to intolerance, excessive government control of our lives, and attempts to monopolize opinion or suppress freedom of thought, expression, and worship.

We invite all Americans who share these values to join us here at Fox Nation.

Im sure you know full well what breaking TOS entails

Sanity -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 11:56:29 AM)

Dont you think that "BuzzSaw.com"

or whatever the ridiculous source that was used in the OP...

Should have left the Fox Nation banner on the blog articles that its article falsely claimed were FOX NEWS articles?

Or is any lie to prop up your failing ideology acceptable to you

tazzygirl -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 12:41:08 PM)

I merely pointed out that Fox Nation has the same ideology as Fox News, regardless of their format.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 12:45:51 PM)

~FR~

considering that fox nation is accessible from a tab on foxnews.com, i think it's safe to say they're the same thing. especially since you find this -- "This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed. ©2011 FOX News Network, LLC. All rights reserved." -- at the bottom of of the Fox Nation page.
the heads of a hydra all belong to the same hydra. duh.

tazzygirl -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 12:47:21 PM)

lol yeah, that was going to be my next point, Lilly!

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 12:50:10 PM)

most places who want to air independent opinions reasonably, while maintaining distance and journalistic integrity use a "the opinions expressed by these contributors do not reflect the opinions of XYZ corporation" clause, not a "we own this shit and we're proud of it!" clause.

Lucylastic -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 1:00:27 PM)

how about an up to date example where they make up their own headlines with someone elses byline...

Today in the NY times, Robert Pear...had a headline stating
U.S. Plans Stealth Survey on Access to Doctors

Fox nation has the same story with a link to the NYtimes page..but...they change the headline, yet still make it appear to be by Robert Pear
proof.... [image]http://www.lucylasticslair.com/wrongagain.JPG[/image]

tazzygirl -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 1:12:25 PM)

More fear mongering.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 1:28:23 PM)

seriously; that's just inane. =p
"fair and balanced" my hindieparts.

tazzygirl -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 1:30:43 PM)

flcouple2009 -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 2:14:18 PM)

Pay him no mind.

It's always cute to watch Sanity blow and bluster insisting that Fox Nation is some independent blog rather than a functioning part of 'Fox News.

This part right here is a clear give away

But it seems to be perfectly fair to provide misleading headlines and use the original text, name of the originating writer and a link.
Fair? Balanced?? Oh and cowardly.YMMV

Those weren't blog posts though. They were reposted news articles. The only thing that was changed was the headline. There was no opinion added.

Sanity -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 3:39:57 PM)

[:D]

FOX NEWS sponsors the blog but the blog isnt FOX NEWS, its a blog

Do you not know what a blog is? If not, try looking it up. [;)]

And its still a lie for imperatrixx and BuzzSaw.com or whatever to try to convince people that Fox Nation blog posts are FOX NEWS articles

So sorry, but there is no getting around that...

Lets say what you said is true, Sanity.

Look at this link... and tell me the name of the blogger who posted it.

http://nation.foxnews.com/president-obama/2011/06/23/ap-obama-has-big-problem-white-women

imperatrixx -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 3:47:15 PM)

From what I can tell, it's not a blog (where bloggers write original content) it's a community news site with comments enabled.

I'd say that's the main difference (aside from the dramatic headlines) - there are no comments enabled on the main news site. Reading some of the comments, I can see why.

tazzygirl -> RE: Real headlines vs Fox News headlines (6/27/2011 3:48:43 PM)

Or this one...

http://nation.foxnews.com/president-bush/2011/06/20/obama-hold-30th-fundraiser-tonight-gwb-had-3-same-point-his-presidency

Anyone? Can anyone tell me who posted these opening blogs?

Seems to me Fox Nation posted them.
