Status: offline 		Yes i have been offically diagnosed with fibro for almost 10 yrs now. As I have said I am listening and I appreciate everyones advice, honestly. I have even started a list of things from here that I thought might help. I am seeing a new doctor so I get to do all the wonderful testing all over, yeah me. How it ever turned this way, i dunno. You guys given my past assume that is all i want is sympthaty and that is far from the truth, i came here for advice and have received some great ones. thanks

Status: offline 		Too much caffeine and sugar 2 cups of coffee and 2 20oz sodas a day. Edema is part of fibro, read ask.com , or my favorite book, Fibromyalgia Up Close and Personal by a physician who has fibro. Yes i am offically diagnosed with fibro/cfs ibs ra etc for over 10 yrs. New doctor now, all testing starts over, yeah me. And i swear my thryoid is paranoid its been checked so many times, lol. Im not playing the victom i have come here to ask others what to do with all that i have going on, i wanted honest opinions on how to mesh all of them, cause 2 of them are my wonderful life and the other one tries and destroys it. anyway thanks again.

I am not attacking. I am asking you questions like I would any patient.

Ask.com isnt the best source for medical advice. I am not saying you dont have Fibro. What I am saying is you may have another disorder causing your swelling that definitely needs to be evaluated and ruled out before assuming it is related to Fibro.

I do hope you see the difference.

Status: offline 		about three years ago. nothing. i have been borderline lupus forever, have some of the physical signs but test never shows up.
sometimes i wonder just what in the world is going on with this body, we call it fibro, but again when im down it seems like there has to be something more and ive been down for along time now. fustrating!

Status: offline 		no that wasnt to you tazzy, it was for those who said they doubted i was sick at all. fustrating. I can tell you i have had more testing than most 110 yr olds in my life.... the ra is there, the degenerated disc and some joints are there, the constant ulcers are there.... but so much isnt. Sleep study was bad, but lost insurance before i could continue with an action plan on that one. In stl i had one doctor, she was great, ruled out so many things and tried progessively to help, here in tn i have been through 5 doctors in 5 years! They hand me meds and send me off. There was one good one who tried, but still pills pills pills, i hate them. To whoever said that i was allergic to all meds, that isnt what i said i said i was allergic to most PAIN meds. All my GI's have to be done under anasthesia. (no i cannot spell). Would love to live pain free for one day. It gets ya down pretty hard, when everyday there is something hurting. School is just not an option to stop. I am determined to get off disability and back on my feet, i have to do this if it kills me. My kids have gotten the message and things are much better. It took some serious parenting to do it, i am glad i stuck with it. Art has really been helping out alot, and i am so grateful for that. Just wishing that bed wasnt my favorite place to be. That handfuls of pills wasnt in my daily diet and i could do what i used to do. Now if that is whinning than it is what it is. But here there are plenty of people living with daily chronic pain and i asked for there advice and about the house.

That is the test to find lupus that outhere69 asked. No its not postive for lupus. So 17 pages for a question that is negative.

I am not a doctor, but are you seeing a connection here?   So far, all your ailments that have been listed, are aggravated by stress.  With the Lupus, stress is directly related to the auto immune system, and from what I have read lately, can also be a factor in the Fibro attacks.  

You have been with Art three years, and in that time, it has gotten worse?     I don't recall any mention of Fibro when you posted under the Kajirastar name, so I am thinking it wasn't an issue then, but has flared up recently?  Maybe besides the doctor, you should discuss this with Art and figure out a plan to reduce the stress in your life.

Status: offline 		You stated you were boardline Lupus... not a diagnosis I have ever heard, but I am always willing to accept some things. 3 years is way too long to go between testing. And Lupus is known to cause edema by way of renal failure.
