It's pretty much true for me, I don't really trust a person who won't sit down and get impaired with me now and then. It makes me wonder what they are hiding, what they are afraid to let slip.

I just have to say, I would love to sit down and get impaired with you

The poster with the pictures needs to get a check of reality. Claiming you're drug and disease free while posting multiple pictures of you using a drug is just ridiculous.

As far as not trusting anyone who won't get impaired? Some of us can't. I have the alcohol capacity of a gnat. I get sick before I get drunk. To be fair, it's a side effect of hypertensive medication but I didn't have much capacity even prior to the meds. My limit these days is about a half of wine with a meal. Or one Mike's Hard Lemonade with a big meal; steak and potatoes or such.

I read the profile of a young lady on Fet.  In it, she stated that she was d&d free.
Her profile contained three pictures of her smoking a pot pipe.
Doesn't d&d free imply weed-free?

Guess it depends, depends on what country she lives in and if its considered illegal there and depends on if she uses it for medicinal purposes (some people do need it for that and not necessarily to get high). Normally I do consider that d&d also means weed free tho.

Let's get clear on our addictions here. caffiene is physically addicting, nicotine, physically and emotionally (and one of the worst drugs for both), alcohol, emotionally addicting and physically addicting to those with a genetic predisposition to such, pot is emotionally addicting but not physically addicting.

So does belladonna. Don't eat it.

I would go further than that... sugar is addictive, fatty food is addictive..

..and darn it all, chocolate is addictive.

oh yeah, .. then there is sex, which can also be addictive...

Well, I want weed so good that you can't even walk. But only for a short time. After a few beers you must piss.

In a scene, I would not get like that. In fact, on the bottom I think getting a buzz can be a blast. Sure you might let something go and die for not safewording out, but fuck it. At least you died happy.

The reason I don't fucking care at all is because I have been so close to death so many times. You kinda get used to it. Lotsa people won't play with me :-(

~fast reply~

I have always considered D&D free to mean that one doesn't recreationally use illicit drugs. That means you don't smoke pot to get high because it is not legal (here), and you don't take pills if you don't have a prescription.

I don't have an issue with people who smoke pot. Hell, I'm waiting for NJ to finally take their heads out their asses and finalize our medical marijuana law they keep delaying. Pain meds have proven to be minimumly helpful, and so that's my only remaining option.

I am regularly amazed at some of the people here, though. I've never come across so many people who never even tell a white lie (your hair looks great!), wouldn't take a drink of champagne on New Year's Eve (who haven't had issues with alcohol) and look down on those who do, and write people off for what they hear the friends of those people do. Yet, each and every one of them thinks the world should be tolerant of BDSM.

There is a difference between what I would accept in a friend and what I would accept in someone I scene with.

Dont judge me because I sin differently than you.
If you want it sugar coated, dont ask me what i think! It would violate TOS.

FR

So when I get around to putting up my profile, someday, I will just put that I do what I do. If I am excluded by certain people that's the breaks. I'm not really looking, but you never know. I am an experienced intoxicatee, accept it or not. One beer and I get no fun ? Go fuck  yourself.

I don't mean that in a bad way, but that's how it boils down. If I can't catch a buzz when I want, what do you do ? Either find someone else or..........see above.

You do realize you can have sex without scening, right? Or did that fact escape you on this site.

I'm amazed you got any of that from the posts in this thread.

As tazz said, the point is what people would pick in a partner.

Actually it wasn't just this thread it was multiple threads and the "holier than now" attitudes people display.

I wasn't specifically referring to Tazzy either. I would not scene with someone intoxicated on anything. However, I don't do "scenes," I do "relationships,. That does change one's perspective on the issue. For me anyway.

And some do both. I "scene" with the man, I also have a "relationship" with him. I do not "scene" with him after he has been drinking... or when I have been drinking. Its just a hard, fast rule we both agreed too.
