Exactly, if the drama llamas have taken over the events, there's no point in attending, but you don't know that until you actually leave the house and try! I know you're all amazed that I agree with LP on many points here. I am not here to feed the wankers. If someone else wants to, fabulous! There have been some very hot threads about fantasies and what-ifs--and they were NOT disguised as "questions".

I've often suggested to new people or even some who've had profiles here for several years, to get out to some of the munches & events, because when it does work it can really be fun & one can meet some pretty cool people. But my problem is when the people at the munches & events are held in higher regard than those who don't attend them. Simply not true all of the time or maybe not even most of the time. I'm very happy with the friendships I've made here through the munches & events. But I also think that a big part of the difference here is that there are so many events & one can pick & choose to avoid the crap. Most communities aren't this big & so there really isn't as much choice.

Those that joined less than a week ago and come to whine "Why haven't I found someone yet?" Instant gratification thinking this is a kink supermarket where people are going to see their profile and jump on wanting to meet that person. All in all, I don't have much tolerance for stupidity, people who feel a need to constantly say how smart they are, who think they are THE source of sense in absolutely every situation or people who read half the post and think their answer is perfect. I've never once claimed to be a nice person or that I gave a shit whether or not I was accepted into the "cliques" around here. And yes, there are cliques. The people who I have respect for on these boards are the people who post with no nonsense, this is how it worked for me type of answers. Sorry, but when someone posts how their "master" told them to post asking for questions and advice or even finding someone to train her for him, they deserve what they get. Laziness is unappealling.

And Even being on the net first and having online as my only option for several years, I get tired of it. I much prefer to interact with people real-life, and the drama associated with online is wary. In real life if I get asked a question i dont have to clairfy that this works for me, i dont have to deal with as many people who are just going to put me down because they dont agree my opinion is actually welcomed. The things ive learned in just a year in the scene are amazing.... Not only is it amazing but i wish other people would have the same experiences, but the biggest pet peeve i have online or off is those who want instant gratification or dont take personal responsibility.... those who go to one munch and dont get laid and never return, or the first words out of their mouth after hello is " So do you get an invite to the private party being held and can you vouch for me"

I shower and dress every single day--sometimes twice a day because when I look good, I feel good. As for munches, I haven't been to one yet in my area, but a week ago I was on FetLife and the woman who i guess usually organizes the munches here was in a rant. Evidently nobody showed to the latest one. She was very very ticked, going on and on about feeling dumb when only she and two others showed up at the munch. I guess she has a dungeon too, and was ranting about being out hundreds of dollars in organizing play parties to which not enough show up. Anyway, not somebody I think I'd want to associate with. Why organize things if you are going rant and rave about the cost afterward? Anyway, I was Fet earlier this weekend and I guess she's calmed down because she has scheduled three events--two munches and a play party. Her rules are that you have to attend three munches before you can attend a play party, but all of munches are scheduled during my work hours. So I guess I won't be getting involved in the local scene here.

one the reasons why newbies might not start threads is once again one mine intentionally derailed 1.. can newbies be 100% certain theres wont be NO 2.. to me this reflects badly on this place as it shows me its not monitored properly just me but it affects whole forum oh but i haven't used correct grammar hijacking threads good bad grammar bad
