I've got a feeling that a year from now, I might just qualify.  [8D]

A thread or two I read here lately have me thinking. So many times, someone posts something, and the reactions that come are "You are searching for wank material", "Why would you post such stuff for us to see?", "We are not in your dynamic", "Use the search feature", etc so on and so forth.

So, is it the subject that gets folks riled, or is it the fact they do not know, or do not like, the person doing the posting?

I don't get riled easily or often, but it's usually going to be about a subject and 90% of the time it's going to be in P&R rather than General BDSM. Folks who have a posting style which I don't care for (lack of substance, repetitive, boring to me, etc.), the odds are I don't read them so it's moot.

I will say this, longevity on the boards and even real life friendships are not going to prevent me from calling a spade a spade. If there is a post that I will call a newbie on, rest assured I have no qualms about calling a seasoned posting vet over that same sort of post and by that same token I am just as likely to give kudos to a newbie as I am to a seasoned vet for sensible, thoughtful postings and then I move on.

I might blast you today and tomorrow give you brownie points for insight or vice versa, so case by case but I like to think I'm at least consistent.

Oh, P&R is a different story altogether. I can barely get through the titles of the threads without wanting to jab a fork through my eyes, never mind reading the actual posts.

~Does the slow blink~ Wait, am I understanding correctly that you and the Mistah may be moving here?

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 8:49:56 AM)

You must have missed it Zephyr, LP and MrP moved to Alaska.  A few months ago methinks, but I could have the timing wrong.  [:)]

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 8:51:20 AM)

Thanks, tigs, it must have happened when I was away from CM. [:)]

LadyPact -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 10:35:50 AM)

Just about three months ago, zeph.  The first winter here should be a real adventure.

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 10:41:14 AM)

Well best of luck to you and Mr P....and of course the lovely clip! We'll compare notes after the snow gets underway, there are times the outdoors around here resembles the Arctic

LadyPact -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 10:43:50 AM)

Thank you.  I'm waiting to see how it goes.  I'm sure it will look quite lovely as long as I'm sitting inside the warm house.  [;)]

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 10:47:54 AM)

~nods~ yeah that's the keys to making it through snowy winters - stay inside and watch the pretty snow. [8D]

Oh HELL yeah!  LadyP that is probably the best advice you are going to get for dealing with snowy cold winters.

HannahLynHeather -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 4:43:29 PM)

don't forget the fucking cocoa, you just gotta have some hot chocolate when its blizzarding out.

LadyPact -> RE: That's so dumb... (7/12/2011 4:50:51 PM)

Believe it or not, I've already got some.  It was still darn cold in the early morning hours in early May when we first got here.  There were some snow flurries during our first week and that put Me in the mood for it.  I generally don't drink coffee and wanted something warm one morning.

I might have to buy it by the case come fall.
