In a low blow, she suggested that he might be... why wouldn't he deny it?

As for the breast feeding doll... it's silly but hardly the dire threat to civilization this Ablow (what an unfortunate name) guy thinks it is.

I don't give a shit about Fox News one way or the other but some people around here seem so obsessed with it that it borders on the ludicrous.

If there is some other - legitimate! - evidence that he is a pediophile, that's one thing... but in the absence of such evidence, there is no story here other than the usual (in my best Elemer Fudd impersonation) "oooooohhhhh, we hate that rascally Fox News, we hate 'em, we hate 'em, we hate 'em!" Just because someone works for Fox News, it doesn't automatically make them a lowlife scumbag. I know that that is a dificult concept for you to grasp... but it's true. If you want to dislike the guy for his political opinions, go ahead... but is it necessary to demonize him?

nothing in what he said sounded like he was a pedophile to me. he just views breasts through a sexual lens like the VAST majority of people on earth, particularly males.
a lot of kids pretend to nurse teddy bears, so that doll really isn't that threatening. but some people have an issue seeing breasts as functional and harmless rather than purely "entertainment," which is probably the bigger problem to be worried about.

It`s a fairly clear difference of POV.Not much over-lap.

One see`s nature,normal make pretend play, that kids do and is healthy.

The other sees sexual deviation and dark scenarios.

What does he think kids have dolls for?To pretend to be parents,who they will become someday,hopefully.

Why do kids pretend to be nurses?Because they want to be caring and this kind of "play" is normal.

Kids also play army(I did),build forts(I did),build tree houses(I did) and all kinds of make pretend things from race-car driver to fireman.

And WTF is about with his over the top extreme bull shit example of a realistic birthing doll?

Sounds like a typical closed minded conservative,using the bullshit argument that if we legalize gay marriage,we`ll be seeing people marry goats and cows next.More political than medical.

No he`s not a pedophile but his mind`s in the gutter.Note,he was one who used the word.He brought it up.

Yeah, first of all I don't get this sexuality and kids stuff, kids are born sexual they dont know what to do with it, agreed......and if we were a little more open about real life (after all its natural) we might have a great deal less easy prey for pedophiles and alot more horror removed out of childrens lives.

If little girls get dolls to imitate their parents, how many little girls these days are in a home where mom breastfeeds a younger sibling? I bet those girls are already imitating Mom with whatever dolls they have.

So... a doll that breastfeeds, how cool is that! Does it actually suck? If so, will the little girls that play with it eventually get eroticized nipples? And what will come next - Nursing Mother Barbie, complete with stretch marks, sagging udders that drip milk, and a Ken Jr. infant doll to suck on them? How about anatomically correct genitalia? A Ken doll with a woody?

I didn't hear anything that made me think Ablow was a pedophile. Now, the person who designed that doll, there is a very real possibility there. Can you imagine product testing?

I can also see how all this could freak out the prudes that think anything sexual is filth that rots the brain. So - pedophile no, prude for sure. Nothing surprising about that coming from a conservative commentator.

It is silly for the same reason that those dolls that "eat" or "piss" are silly. They're not really needed. All a kid needs is an object and some imagination. My niece is currently breastfeeding her newborn and I've seen her four year old daughter "breastfeeding" her teddy bear.

I got that you were talking about the doll and it was the doll about which I was asking.

Toys are silly because they are not needed. Got it. Thank you for answering my question. It's a legit reason. Maybe I should adopt that stance myself.. would save a ton of money on bday and Xmas presents for the grandsons. ::grins:: Eh.. nah. Guess not. For me it isn't about giving kids stuff they need. I personally wish they would close down this fucking rat trap. It is bogged down by the likes of FatDD, pos, wilbur, azzbossman, truckinslave servant4use and a pile of other boneheads that have no ability or desire to have a meaningful exchange.
