In another tread you queried that I was glad he was caught alive. The reason I said so was because we need to understand this kind of evil people to stop them before it comes to what happened here. When that process is complete and we can gain no more knowledge from them, then I certainly agree with your sentiment. I would even gladly give you a femhundredlap to help purchase the oil.

The death penalty is about revenge.

Not justice.

Calling it justice is for the weak minded and cowardly, who can`t admit that to themselves.

Especially the government bashers who are quite adamant that government can`t do anything right but are so cock-sure that government finds the truly guilty.

If we are going to have government kill people, shouldn`t we be sure that "government" isn`t fucking up as much as conservatives say it always does?

So sayeth the one who recently danced around the forums, swinging his dick over the popularity bump Obama got from the execution of bin Laden...

This is a discussion of actual ideals, O59.  Not your "values of the day," talking points.

He was armed and shooting back.

I guess you`d have washed bin-laden`s feet like you are with Gadaffi`s.

I would have been ok with his live capture.

You might try something other than making nonsense into logic.

The one with a credibility problem about our terrorist enemies is you, my frenenemy.

Isn't it strange how the people who are in favour of capital punishment find it offensive that women should be allowed to terminate an unwanted pregnancy?
What a random crappy piece to throw in, in the face of this tragedy.

I'm sad, and angry for the Norwegians. I tried calling a friend of mine there, but haven't been able to reach him yet, so hope he wasn't directly affected. My position on death penalty is not rigid anymore... Because in cases where someone, not at war, kills/maimes little people, en mass, in a witnessed attack, where there is absolutely no doubt he did this, I wouldn't be opposed to deleting him/her from society.
I hate tax dollars spent for repeat, violent criminals, to be kept in jail. M

And isn't it stranger still that some who insist that ending the life of an unborn baby is an individual right, while a structured act of a justice system is beyond the jurisdiction of society?

Due to the tragedy the phone system is overburdened, so stay calm, took me a lot of tries to reach my friend, if you have the mobile number, try sending an SMS, chances that it might get through are better.

Uhhh no he wasnt.

"Bin Laden, according to a briefing on Monday, used his wife as a human shield and she was killed. By Tuesday, the White House reversed that: she had not been used as a human shield and she was not dead. The other point of discrepancy was the initial briefings that stated Bin Laden resisted and was killed in a "firefight", which suggests he had been armed. The White House insisted he had resisted, without saying how, but said he had no gun."

Yeah, he resisted by throwing his dinner at them. Youre such a fucking hypocrite.

Ahhhh, so who were you referring to in "three guys"? I expect lies from moonhead, not from you.

Since the OP is having a conflict over equating a court's sentence of death with a cold-blooded murder, the assumption seems to be that one death is the same as another, Muse.

Jesus fucking Christ, willbe. What the fuck is your problem?

That discussion was in full bloom before your defensive paranoia came along.

My problem is that misrepresenting peoples very plain positions sucks, especially when someone with some vestige of credibility does it, and even if it was laziness not intentional. You know fucking well you were including me in the "three people".

It might be easier to simply *ahem* eliminate certain posters.  Just a suggestion.

Greetings

Thank you for the link, you are right I did find it interesting. I also think that yes it is better to let ten guilty go free than to convict one innocent, however no truth is without modification, there are cases where you are 99,99 percent sure and the risk to the public is so great you just can not take the chance so you throw someone in jail anyway. However in essence I agree, it is better to let ten guilty go then convicting one innocent.

I wish you well
