Sorry, that was joke. Robert Maxwell. I thought everybody remembered that he fell off his yacht and drowned back in 1990...

Thats cool, I was joking too! I remember that but I thought he was as British as kippers for breakfast...

Nope. Hence his nickname in Private Eye of 'The Bouncing Czech"

Seems he was born in Czechoslovakia but went to England during his teens where he became a British citizen and fought in the British army during the war.

Recently we had a thread about Fox-TV's decision not to set up a Canadian franchise as it was unable to comply with a legal requirement that news organisations tell the truth. Wingnuts here defended Fox-TV's 'right' to tell lies.

No, tweety, youre the liar. Nothing you said here is true.

The best thing to come out The Mirror newspaper is this ;

Sailing for the masses back in 1962 and over 7000 built since

But I suppose creating a cheap diy sail boat for the masses was what could be considered a left wing thing to do, as it allowed the commoner into the sport of sailing.

The thread was called "Fox News Will Not Be Moving Into Canada After All".

From the OP:
"Fox News will not be moving into Canada after all! The reason: Canada regulators today announced they would reject efforts by Canada's right wing Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, to repeal a law that forbids lying on broadcast news."

The full thread can be viewed at: http://www.collarchat.com/m_3583277/mpage_1/tm.htm

I'm looking forward to an apology for calling me a liar Willbur thanks.

Two days later:

Unwilling or unable to apologise Willbur?

Should I run a poll to see if people can differentiate between you and a lying abusive self important cowardly windbag with nothing to contribute?

Heres your apology:

1. Fox News is already in Canada and has been for years.2
2. The only rejection of Fox News in Canada was a merger with another network.
3. There was nothing denied to Fox by Canada nor any changes in Fox's business plans that had a fucking thing to do with "lying".

Youre a liar. Youre welcome.

The mere existence of the thread is, on its own, enough to disprove your claim that "nothing" I said was true.

Do the right thing for once Willbur - apologise before you make an even bigger ass of yourself.

Why would I apolgize? What you said was wrong on every count. You should be the one apologizing, tweety. And instead of whining why dont you try and address the FACTS? Oh, because youd be admitting you lied.

The mere existence of the thread is only enough to prove that you arent the only liar.

That's it Willbur, keep denying it and it might go away hey? Are we reverting to our impersonation of a spoilt brat again are we? Been reading up on our copy of 'Advanced Kindergarten Disruption Strategies' have we? Denial is such a sophisticated response, even for a 7 year old, isn't it? I'm told that, occasionally, it has an almost minimal chance of success with the utterly credulous.

Perhaps you are better off when Mummy lets you play with your war toys. Keeps you from getting yourself into trouble elsewhere doesn't it?

Try responding to the facts, tweetybird. Youre wrong, and know it, which is why you resort to your weak attempts at insults...its even more satisfying than your admitting youre wrong, because you embarass yourself doing it.
