um, ladies.....(GT and PB).....that's what closets are for!  I have one closet and a spare bedroom of things that still don't have homes!  They are out of their boxes, but I don't know where to put them!

Maybe a CM yard sale is in order?  I've got stuff that I've NEVER unpacked....obviously, I don't need it! 

And Arpig....I'm with you in the whole supervisory thing.....I'll pack it into boxes, but someone else can do the heavy work!  (altho, I thought that's what Dom's did....the heavy stuff.....leave the delicate stuff to us wimmens!)

I moved a month ago and still have yet to finish unpacking my clothes since I don't have a bed or dresser yet. Sigh.....still waiting for the furniture company to deliver it since it's on backorder. gggrrr

I just bought new bookcases last week to unpack my books and my tv is still sitting on the floor for when we both have time to put together the stand lol.

At least I just some flowers today for the window boxes which will make it feel homier. Yay.

yeah, I figure I have a year lease//PLENTY of time to unpack *grin*

Soul... my closets are hotel room sized... yanno.. about as wide across as my shoulders..lol

the spare room is packed to the gills with stuff I havent gotten to yet.. and since I have what I need for day to day stuff, that room wil likely stay that way for a few months more.

See, thats your problem right there.. you packed in an orderly fashion, putting all the stuff you need all together so you could ignore the rest...

now what you should have done is just throw all that stuff together, the stuff you need with the stuff you dont need... that way you have to go thru all your boxes and unpack just to find the stuff you really need now... That makes sense, doesnt it??? [:D]

Seriously--they are happy right now-- If you can't be happy for them, and can't bring yourself to type "best wishes" or "good luck"....maybe save that thought.

hey relax everybody, i don't mind a little negativity. he raised some good points, he just doesn't have a lot of faith in our ability to handle shit. that's cool. i think we can. life's handed me a lot of lemons, and i'm swimming in fucking lemonade. i ain't worried, yeah shit will happen, we'll have fights, bills will be unpaid, but we'll work it out. we'll find a way.

and if he's right and it does fall apart in 6 months, so fucking what. we'll have spent 6 months living a fucking dream. spending the nights in front of the fire, midnight swims, skating days, falling asleep in a tangle of bodies, and doing it all with the people we love.

and even more important, we'll have tried, we'll have given it our best shot. we have a chance at something really special, if we can make it work, we could be really fucking happy. maybe we are immature, maybe we are unrealistic, maybe we're just chasing a dream, but we'd rather fail than spend the rest of our fucking lives wondering what if.

heartbreak sucks, but regret sucks so much more.

If you believe in yourself and your plan, if you have thought things out and think you can make it work then if anyone tells you it wont work,... you cant believe them and let them change your mind or put doubt in your mind. Imo, things you have overcome in the past means you know the strength you have in you to do what you set out to do. I bought my first place with my first boyfriend when I was 21, lucky for me, there wasnt anyone telling me that i couldnt do that.

Imo, if the 4 of you get along the way it seems and you buy this one and it works well for you all, then, my dear,.. the 4 of you can save for the next house and rent it out, then save for the 3rd house, rent it out.. and so on, eventually you will own the equivalent of one house each or maybe 2 houses each. Just one extra rental property paid off (in 25 years) by your tenants for each of you is imo a whole lot better than any friggin RRSP. So.. this could turn out to be much more for all of you if you all want it to.. think about it. [:)]

This is exactly how I've tried to live my life. The worst thing that I can think of is being on my deathbed, saying, "I wish I would have ____________."

Sorry to be a wet blanket.   At age 47,  I see the world ...in a jaded way.   I too have done things in my 20s- and 30s- that maybe were not the tried and true path....  so I get it.   Thanks for your posts.
