Status: offline 		Personally I just send them a picture of my cock - if they don't respond I assume they're a spambot and move on, if they do I start describing my favorite pornos in graphic detail until they fall in love with me. It's a pretty good system.

In all seriousness, though, I used to really worry about the identity and honesty and so forth of the people I met online and over time I have quit caring. If people want to pretend to be something they aren't, that isn't going to keep me up at night. I'm not going to spend much time pursuing a romantic relationship without meeting in person, and if it's strictly platonic it doesn't really matter to me who they are, where they're from, how old they are, or any of the rest of it. They're just someone to talk to and enjoy and if they feel the need to lie so be it. It isn't as if my real life friends tell me the 100% truth, either, after all. Everybody lies to someone.

Just go and meet them or pick up the phone and call them, or talk on skype, I made several really good friends on this site, just friends but nobody was looking for a romantic involvement. Meeting people just to meet them and say hello without massive expectations seems to be a good way to go.

Status: offline 		iPhones are not that big, but hearing about the "target market" (I thought that was having a pulse and not running fast enough but nevermind) I am quite tempted to ditch the iPhone and go back to cell phones that just do calls. Some things do scare me...

Status: offline 		Compared to the previous phone I had they are quite big, but the fact that I can check mails and surf the web makes up for it, I can take the dogs for a big walk, sit somewhere and watch them run around, and still have a mobile office with me and access files, makes up for bigger size. If it wasn't for that, I'd have a mobile that just handles calls and is as small as possible.

Don't get me wrong - you don't have to justify yourself, because I get why people would have them. :-)

Nope.  Just refuse to spend that much for a data plan and am not obsessed with being online all day.  I'm an engineer, not a Luddite.

Actually the ability of not having one is something I envy, and I completely agree, if you don't need it for work, why the hell bother? Private emails certainly can wait until you are ready to check your mails. Somebody expecting you should have it because they think it's essential - errr yeah, whatever...

there are lots fakes

for Instance having a profiled says you live in the middle nowhere yet more active than mr active trying out for most active man of year in activia

coming across as someone your not

a fake pic or nigerian scammer is easy to spot the ones above much harder but there just as many

Status: offline 		You should quit worrying about all the assholes out there and focus on making your profile reflect you and present yourself well. I'm a fucking naked as hell, doesn't mean I'm fake. But fucking A I'm not meeting anyone until I've run a background check on them. Don't be surprised if you get stood up if you have a shitload of reasons why someone would stand you up. Give people a chance, be clear about what you want. If they are fake you'll realize it after two conversations, max. If you keep getting dupped, go to therapy because you've got issues.

I have never met anyone who is fake. I have met people who I did not feel chemistry with. So, not fake, just not for ME.

There is a big difference. Many immature people call people fakes if they don't want THEM.
