Look at Amnesty international. Well meaning people in the West with money bring about changes in other countries. it happens all the time. Look at Libya.

Status: offline 		In my view it's far more important to eliminate the huge disparities that exist within societies than between countries in the short term.
It's obscene that, for example, some Wall St traders salaries are measured in the billions while others go without housing, employment or healthcare within a single country.

Disparities between countries are far more complex. Differing educational, natural resource, social systems, traditions, economic needs and other factors need to be factored in. Reducing it all to a single simplistic equation isn't the way forward IMHO.

Libya and countries like that are a different ball of wax, there will be no change of any consequence in the UK. jmo

imo you cant talk about the globe as if it was one system, its not, each country has its own ways of doing things, taxing, etc. It has always been that way, each country has to solve its own problems in its own ways.

The poor people are getting poorer all over the world, and the rich are getting richer all over the world. Those who have nothing, are getting fed up with the situation.

imo people themselves need to decide if they want to be one of the poor ones or not. I personally do not want to be one of the poor ones, been there, done that.

And I dont see anyone that is gonna hand me or anyone else a free ride.

As per usual, more ill-informed crap. Firstly it would seem many of those involved in last nights trouble were just young kids out to rob premises. Secondly Londoners dont feel the need to carry arms and havent done so for 200 years.

It is sad that you are unable to actually read whats going on, let alone understand the causes, before posting right wing B/s.

1) The intial protest in Tottenham was over a young black male being shot by the police.
2) That protest spread into some mindless violence and looting
3) Teenagers, most of who wouldnt qualify for any kind of government assistance, looked to be responsible for last nights widespread vandalism and looting.
4) The troublemakers were not restricted to one ethnic group.

Lay the blame where you like but government cuts and a lack of guns were not responsible for the events of the last few days.
