But my favourite rice is freshly looted tesco value rice. It's best enjoyed whilst sitting my brand new 50 meters of rolled up carpet. :-P

Hush, you.

Not something I live for but I do like it.Sometimes I like sticky rice, sometimes fluffy rice. It depends on the dish and my mood. I love rice with chilli or stew covered of course.

there's a place here that serves obnoxiously cheap veggie lettuce wraps with rice made with tea, tomatoes, and something else green; not quite sure what. it's so good.

Green as in green and leafy? Or herby? Or crunchy?

Green as in zombie. Zombie rice...

I love rice.  White rice, basmati, jasmine, brown, wild rice - - rice is wonderful.

I make spanish rice with saffron and wine.

I make risotto - with prawns or chicken or (and) asparagus, mushroom, red bell peppers....

I put leftover rice in home made soup

Or I toss leftover rice in a wok with peanut and/or sesame oil, soy sauce, veggies, etc, for a stir fry.

Curry rice is yummy.

All rice is yummy.

I love you !!

All of that does sound pretty freaking good. Especially those two.

She is rather wonderful, innit.

And Moonhead, I love the idea of zombie rice. Lurching after you down dark country lanes...

I love rice and I basically live off of it. There's no one way I like it. It just depends on what I'm using it for..sushi, chana masala, paella, red beans and rice, rice pudding, chicken and rice soup....I can think of a ton of things to use it for.

My electric rice maker basically lives on my kitchen counter. It's the easiest way I've ever found....throw in a couple cups of water, a cup of rice, push down the button, put on the lid and walk away. It automatically turns off when done. It's the only thing my mother  has ever bought me that I ever kept and actually use. I love it.

I eat a lot of brown rice because it's healthier but I also love jasmine rice and short grain. Again, just depends on how I'm using it.

Zombie rice doesn't lurch. It simply comes back to life after it's been cooked and starts acting like living rice again. Living rice doesn't act noticeably differently from dead rice in the short-term though, so you never actually notice.

Surely your digestive system would notice?

I'm a rice person. Fried rice, brown and wild rice, risotto, Spanish rice, basmati rice, rice pilaf. I adore rice and using it in all its many permutations is a staple to me.

Who doesn't like rice?

Rice is wonderfully digestible, highly versatile, and easily translates to any recipe you have at hand.

Last time I was in Minnesota, I picked wild rice for dinner. I tend to always have some in my freezer for stuffing. . . whatever.

If you haven't taken the time to investigate various kinds of rice, go for it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I am not allowed to have turmeric in the house now due to its ability to turn everything yellow, so I use a bit of paprika instead to avoid the baby poo colour

LOL ok thats funny:)
Im a bugger with it, damn stuff tastes great but my men are sometimes sloppy and I hate trying to get out the stains so I had to limit it somewhat.

half my tee shirts have stains on them, my other half bough me an apron to wear while cooking, I am so Dom, lol

I once used it to colour bed linen and covers, came up with a lovely warm golden yellow bedding I just loved, unfortunately running it empty just once didn't work on the washing machine and the next load had a slightly yellow tinge to it too...

Only once it mutates enough to try to gnaw its way out.

Jasmine Rice Congee

Bring jasmine rice to boil in lightly salted water, or half water and half stock. (~6 to 10 parts water to 1 part rice). Lower heat and simmer on low for 30+ min, stirring frequently.

Serve w/ crushed peanuts, cilantro, scallions, sesame oil, sriracha. Or, if you're a minimalist, just sesame oil and scallions.
