Status: offline 		lol thats the other canard that is always tossed out there....unions USED to be necessary back in the bad old days. What laws do you think that you have that would keep your employer from extending your work hours or taking away paid holidays?

Status: offline 		I don't need a law to keep my boss from screwing me over. I made sure he was honest when I agreed to work for him. If something changes I will be free to either accept it or find another job. And it doesn't cost me a penny in union dues.

Status: offline 		while I admitted that untions were necessary at one point, that point has passed. So why dont you explain what a union has to do with me being able to write anything with confidence. Aside from creating laws that now protect workers the unions have done nothing for me. and yes I do worry about anyone who thinks they need someone else to look out from their own interests. I dont get really misty eyed at any song although seeing people pull together in a crisis might do it for me. Of course that happens in most countries so I dont see that it has anything to do with patriotism. I also find it funny as hell that you say that only to turn around and call me a fake american. I guess when you have nothing you have to make shit up. seems pretty standard for you.
