while I admitted that untions were necessary at one point, that point has passed. So why dont you explain what a union has to do with me being able to write anything with confidence. Aside from creating laws that now protect workers the unions have done nothing for me. and yes I do worry about anyone who thinks they need someone else to look out from their own interests. I dont get really misty eyed at any song although seeing people pull together in a crisis might do it for me. Of course that happens in most countries so I dont see that it has anything to do with patriotism. I also find it funny as hell that you say that only to turn around and call me a fake american. Laid it out for you but you can't see. You think that just because laws were passed that those same laws can't be eroded. That "normal" work rules that were negotiated decades ago can't somehow be changed and abborgated to create a more "competitive" employee on the global stage. You actually think you have a say in your own pay, your own benefits. That you actually have a choice in them.

And at the same time you are willing to toss your fellow countrymen to the wolves because they fight for those very rights.
