Its highly amusing that you refer to me as insane...

You're going to have to cite the text of the Constitution which limits due process to Citizens to support that insane hypothesis.

Due process to American citizens, though Obama doesnt respect that.

The laziness of posters who never seem to spell names correctly never ceases to amaze me. I find myself wondering if they are aware that it does nothing but undermine their intelligence and credibility.

Excuse me???? In what sense is Obama "directly responsible" for events in Libya? It might have escaped your attention but the Libyan people are those driving the rebellion against the monster Ghaddafi. What a totally ignorant moronic claim to make!

Of course in your world the views of the locals - mere towelheads and wogs to a man in your eyes - are irrelevant indulgences (unless they're Israelis - then they're holy writ). As you're opposing the popular will of the Libyan people, I can only conclude that you support Ghaddafi's ongoing dictatorship, and the torture, murders, and other vicious crimes that entails.

As is being demonstrated in another thread (DK's "recommended essay" thread) scratch a member of the looney Right and you'll find a viciously anti-democratic thug lurking underneath. "Power is Perfect and Might is Right" is the only logical way of tying all your thoughtsrants together consistently. It matters little what the actual 'Power' is, how it's exercised, or what the murderous consequences are. As long as it's in Power, the ultra-servile deranged morons of the looney Right will find a way of justifying its continuity and maintaining the status quo.

Catch up with current world events and you will learn that Americas "unique capabilities" were used to allow the "rebels" or jihadists or whoever they are to take control of Libya

So Obamas rebels in Libya are Taliban allies? Is that what this means?

That's a good question, Sanity.  The answer seems to be, "we hope not."  Nobody has ever tried to deny that radical religious elements make up a chunk of the rebellion, but it gets sketchy at how big a chunk.

Can you say Iraq?

Now explain the difference to me.

Oh wait, I know, it's a Democrat in office.

Sanity, you are an amazing hypocrite.

You made numerous posts praising Bush for "liberating" Iraq.

I've asked you this before and you've never answered, what makes one dictator different from another?

How do you constantly applaud the so-called liberation of Iraq while condemning the same actions in Libya?

Ive explained it to you several times myself already, again and again

Youre just far too dense to ever understand  it

But once again, because I am feeling generous:

In Iraq we sent ground troops in to kill the jihadists and help build a truly Democratic government, and we are continuing to help the people of Iraq build a brighter future for themselves to this day

Now turn it around, and explain if you can why its okay for a Democrat to use American military might to bring about regime change, when it was supposed to be the most awful horrible thing in the world before

What jihadists? Iraq was a secular Dictatorship under Hussein, not a theocracy.

Dubya sent troops in after "weapons of mass destruction" and to 'get' Hussein because he had a hardon for the guy that laughed at his daddy.

They are fighting them NOW because the power vacuum that was created when Hussein was deposed allowed the fuckers to swarm in.

Hussein didn't have a "Jihadist Problem" because he was such a ruthless bastard. Those who dared got the privelege of witnessing the torture deaths of their families before they were themselves put to death.

Hussein hated Al Quaida as much as we did because he saw them as a threat to his regime but he was much more ruthless and efficient at rooting them out and killing them.

Bullshit.

Do I really need to pull up all the links of Bush, Cheney,Rumsfeld and Rice talking about weapons of mass destruction?

It only became about establishing democracy when they were embarrassed by not finding those WMD's that Rummy assured us that they knew where they were.

But if you want to spread democracy then answer the question you keep avoiding.

Why do you praise what you call Bush's liberation of Iraq while condemning similar actions in Libya?

At least you admit we weren't going into Iraq to fight Jihadists.

Afghanistan, yes jihadists behind every damn rock. Who created the regime change that allowed that? Hint. Reagan and Dubya's daddy.

As for Iran. The regime change we helped foster there was well before Carter. The Shah took power in 1941. Every president between then and Carter shares the blame for propping him up until a 'critical mass' of political unrest was reached and caught us with our pants down presumably because we were depending on him for intelligence.

Trying to milk some partisan political mileage out of Libya is a fool's errand.

We have Bush and Blair sucking up to Kdaffy, but as noted, we had Clinton trying to pay the AQ to bump Kdaffy and Saddam off, while Raygun just sent in the jets..

But the new Napoleon and the Tory twits in Canada and the UK  are only there for a percentage of the oil (France gets 35% according to their press.) Obama, of course has the US  leading from behind.

About the only fair thing that can be said is the Angosphere is totally schizophrenic about the place, kissing up to the Libyan rulers one day and trying to kill them the next.

Meantime the new improved Fearless Leader is asking for an apology for his mistreatment from the UK and the US for his extraordinary rendition and torture.

The rest of African is shaking their heads, seeing the British and the US as saying one thing and doing another far too often for their liking.

And the new Fearless Leader is definitely a serious jihadist.

So are many of his crew.

This has all the earmarks of another Afghanistan.

Neither one of you have brains enough to follow a thread

What I wrote had nothing to do with "why" we went into Iraq, whether there were WMDs there, blah blah blah.

Both of you - go back and read a little more slowly, or have someone help you try to follow the thread. Try not to chime in until you have caught up because youre just establishing your ignorance and your inability to follow a discussion

Is your memory that fucking short?

Now, what is it. 5 posts later you say that "What I wrote had nothing to do with "why" we went into Iraq,"

THAT is what I referred to in My initial post here. Try to keep up with the conversation. You made a claim, I refuted it. You even agreed a few posts later that I was correct and now you are going thru your "I never said that" phase.

The discussion was about jihadists rushing in to fill power vacuums

Bush correctly anticipated them in Iraq and though he overthrew your close friend Saddam, our troops were there on the ground to manage the power vacuum

Not so in Libya, in Libya Obama is apparently going to just allow the jihadists to take control

Even after all the previous lessons learned because Obama is in no way ready for this prime time gig of his
