Ok, now the thread title has hopefully gotten your attention. There is a poll now called "What do you think about the forums?". I don't think that it has ever been asked of the users before, but I would truly like to hear from those that say the forums are not as fun, informative, substantive, busy, etc. whatever you think the forums are lacking, even if you didn't think the forums had before. This goes for some users that say that forums used to be fun even though they have forgotten being banned from those same forums [;)], for various reasons. It will not be possible to make everyone happy on the forums, and there are site guidelines that might make some of possible suggestions not possible to implement. I am curious and always open to new ideas(believe it or not), and would like to hear them. I will say in advance, I will not be responding to suggestions, or individual posts, because then I would be expected to respond to all, which I cannot do because of time and site constraints. I will leave this up active as long as it is active, and will let yall know when I have closed it, when the suggestions cease or if it appears that new suggestions are not being made. Yall can debate them, input them, whatever, I would like to hear your viewpoints about the FORUMS and HOW TO MAKE THEM BETTER. I will say in advance, the mods do not have a bunch of sockpuppets and they are expected to be objective, and allow whatever they can at the moment, whether its about the site or particular members of administration and moderation, and whether it is nice or not. puts on body armor Go for it yall. Well being a new user on this particular forum ive found it to be a lot of fun. I didnt join for information. Not saying I couldnt learn something new from this, but im the experamental type and always trying new shit. lol. I guess I would really like to see a new link or sorting method to the pages or an icon to flag threads ive posted to. On the profile side would like to be able to comment on friends new pics and things. Many of these things may be in place, only been here for a few days. A subbie i know turned me on to it. Other then that, I have been enjoying my stay.

I would like for polls to bump to the top whenever someone votes. I dunno what can be done to improve on the quality of the posts. Troll posts we can Hide ourselves, like I did that one nick a couple of weeks ago. Is the proportion of people that make it through their first 100 or 200 posts these days higher than before? If so, it might be an idea to reduce that number again, just to get rid of the below the bottom level. Nor do I mind a bit of a slaughter among them, appreciating Darwin as I do. And do keep the vanilla ice cream cone: it is a good instrument to measure how far off some people are.

Honestly VAA, I think it's the posters who make the forums what they are. IMHO the postings when I first joined seemed more fun-spirited than they are now. These days posts seem more biting and derisive than those in the past. I know I've contributed, although I would add that I've also avoided a lot of it too. Edited to add: There are seem to be a larger percentage of newer folks (to kink) than in the past, which I believe contributes to the quality. And of those, a number seem to participate only in "online" kink. The latter is something I just don't get. I realize it feeds something in those who don't have the freedom to explore in real life (i.e., usually married to a vanilla spouse), but again, IMHO, online play is purely fantasy and nothing more. I guess my only request is to split the "Humor and Games" section. grin

Get some male moderators. The constant responses to bitching from chicks in here results in a Domme's paradise of indulgence. The place is basically a cunt-fest with a poor response to any dominant male who doesn't buy into the pretensions of the aging Dommes on parade in here.

No offense, do you really think Im 850 lbs and 99? or that some are 76, or whatever age and location listed? Core - The BDSM forums need to have more BDSM in them. I'm talking discussions about various activities. I don't know if this forum allows it or not, but I do know others have just a "General" discussion and underneath that are branches to more specific types if you want to speak with those like-minded. Because the list of kinks is quite large I would think having separate forums for something such as Bloodplay, Breath Control, etc. would reduce the bloat that would be presented. - Attitudes should change. Now I know I'm no angel myself but let me cover myself by saying that when I joined last December I was seeing some discussion but with a lot of what is happening today. I'm not sure how long this has been going on here but it makes everything look amateur/like a trolling free-for-all. If you're on a forum related to BDSM, you post concerning that or you have it deleted/moderated. - An FAQ concerning terminology and general questions a total newcomer would have should be made and stickied. It will avoid any repeating and get a complete beginner up to a respectable par. As it stands right now, a casual would have to outright ask these extremely basic questions and we all know how that goes. - I would honestly get rid of the "Ask A..." forums altogether. They just strike me as clutter. Males post on the Mistress forum, females post on the Master forum, so if it had to be kept I'd just homogenize them together and make a rule on that forum that topics should begin with "Sir, Miss, Sub" respectively. Secondary - More consistent moderation. Oooh, I'm opening up a Pandora's Box here but let's just go out and say that some posters can get away with saying things others cannot. They can also do things others cannot. I realize you're all pretty tight-knit but there has to be a distinction for business and friendship. Someone that is being rude yet is viewed as a popular member is no safer than the guy with the ice-cream cone next to his name. - With the way topics have been going in recent times a lot of people are becoming hesitant to even post anything at all unless in this e-social circle. Participation should be encouraged otherwise the notion of a public forum loses all purpose. While this is not something that an admin can fix so much as the community itself, it is a nice thought to consider. - Another general shout-out but let's take it easy on the new people. There are some fine young females that stop by here sometime. For Funsies - This may make you laugh but I'd like to enable pictures again without certain people posting pictures of grotesque spiders. I would like to come to a consensus that arachnids are ugly, nobody likes them, and posting any will result in a suspension. - Some new icons underneath our names. Paddles are good and all, but what about some more fun stuff? Or the option to select whatever titles you've accumulated so far, in addition to any custom one? - Which reminds me, change my fucking title right now. Please? =(

There seems to be a vicious little clique of Dommes and select "subs" , and, the Mods seem to totally pander to them, if not actually be them. Can you add some sort of filter that detects when the same person has posted the exact same thing, or too close to it, over and over again? They have one on Craig's List that can tell, even if you are not logged into an account, not using the same email address as for your account, and you are posting the same ad in more than one city, as I found out when trying to sell a Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade disk. So, it must be able to be done for a forum, because, Craig's List, as you know, is a pretty big thing! Ooh, and an option so that when you hide someone on the forums, it hides you from them too, and, blocks them on the other bits of Collarme.com? Because, I read a very icky little racist post from a guy, today, and I so wanted to block him, all the way, but, he had his profile hidden so I couldn't. And, of course, there are times, back to the clique, when I choose to ignore people who are causing trouble in regards to me, but, they follow me around and keep posting lies and insults, and, make it uncomfortable for others, but, if I could block them where they couldn't see me, either, problem solved!

There is no way to prove you wrong, first off because it is your opinion, and second, cuz I'm not outting my moderators. I will say at least one of their real names would or should make you realize that possibly your opinion may be skewed, as hobbled they definitely are not, and you would definitely recognize their user nicks. However, you are definitely entitled to your opinion. I just can't help but grin because I know who they are.

Please hit the report button when you see a post that violates TOS. We are human and in large part act on reports because there is no way that we can see everything real time and not miss anything. Prior moderation staff seemed like they could, but there are more areas now on site, (vid chat etc) so attention is divided at times.
