Status: offline 		I get a bit bored watching these things, they seem to run in circles a lot.
But this part actually kept me interested a bit and looks like a good debate.

How do you feel about the death penalty? Do you worry if Perry wins the presidency it will be a federal issue, since he seems to feel so strong about it?

Status: offline 		Think I posted the link yesterday that pertained to this. The Death Penalty is administered in a racist manner in these here United States of America. Until that changes I be against it.

And if someone kills another person in something other then self defense, you don't believe they should get the death penalty simply because you think the system is racist? That's a bit of a cop out, plus I bet your all for those white teens in the other post getting the death penalty.

Status: offline 		You need to get out more....drive to the state pen and go to death row and check out who is there........then go look at the statistics on murder by race.......then come back and tell me why white people murder more yet never pay for it.

Status: offline 		Well now I am sad. I really thought this would be a fun controversial one, and I love arguing with you Dom, since you make rational arguments, back up your statements, don't degenerate to name calling, and I all around respect you, even if I don't always agree.

Ah well, I am sure we will find something else to argue about soon enough.

I am a firm believer in the death penalty- hell if someone purposely killed my cat I would probably be trying to kill them, let alone a family member or friend.

Status: offline 		Yes but if he had quibbled over it at all, he would have been just as torn apart later. I am not republican, but I can still respect a strong speaker who stands his ground and shuts up a criticism before it can start rolling downhill.
What I found funny was the applause.

Willie Williams and Joseph Nichols both shot at their murder victim, but only one hit him. In order to execute both, Texas argued that each had killed the man; in one trial, the state argued that Mr. Williams had shot the victim and Mr. Nichols had missed, and in the next trial, the state argued that Mr. Nichols had shot the victim and Mr. Williams had missed. Both were convicted of capital murder. Mr. Williams was executed by Gov. Bush; Mr. Nichols is still on death row.

superb thinking ... of course the relatives of that someone must have the same right to kill you afterwards ...

you could not explain better what barbarism is

Perry has already killed at least one inocent man, Cameron Todd Willingham. What kind of blood thirsty maniac could possibly be proud of that fact?
