I went back and looked, and there is not a single person who has posted in this thread that I actively dislike, or think can't act in a civil manner.
Left, right or middle, I pretty much like everyone here, and can generally have a conversation with any of them. Do I sometimes take offense at some individual and cut them a bit? Yup. But I also find that when I give a little, or just ignore some of the pointless barbs that people make, and even apologize when I make a mistake or go over the line that I am generally forgiven, and can continue to interact without a lot of the BS that I already see displayed in this thread.
If you want to know the truth, I think the "less moderation" in the P&R forums is exactly backwards: the tightest moderation should be in this forum.
I think you'd be surprised at how quickly good conversations would return. As would as many posters who as of now simply will not come down here.
Right now, the consensus seems to be that P&R will be deleted. That's its dead. The usual suspects (all of whom I like) will make it so, just to prove a point and then blame everyone else.
A bunch of BS wankers is what we have here (even if I do like you all), and you'll all blame whoever it is that you dislike for the forum's failure.
I say it pretty damn simple: man up, and act civilized, and moderation would be rare or even unneeded.
