I dunno. Thing is, cool and self aware as Kana is, all that shit would NOT HAPPPEN without the other half. If she did not trust him, if they didn't have the connection, there wouldn't be any gut punching hot cigar action.

Damn skippy right.
It takes two to tango, and I feed off the vibes she's putting out-the whole scene revolves around how I respond to how she's grooving.
I'm gonna quote from a mail I sent recently:

"When it's done right, a bdsm play is an elaborate elegant dance, with me playing her like a master guitarist, setting the bass but shifting to her counter rhythms, building rhyme and melody until the whole thing intertwines. It's like emotional surfing. With sex! She rolls and I respond, inner tides shifting as I stand, akimbo yet simultaneously completely and constantly in motion, every nerve aflare, tiny muscles acting to maintain balance, at once infinitely aware of exactly where I am and what I am doing while also looking for the next move, the next natural step as I chart my course across her body."

Then there are days where I genuinely enjoy the fact that she hates it, that it's an act of straight taking/inflicting. Those are the days I like to do shit that makes her howl like a beast, make her beg and crawl, do the humiliating things that she abhors, cry, while I keep coming back for moremoremore. Those are the days cigars and such come into play, that involve heavy aftercare, hard crashes on both sides. These are the scenes that scour the soul clean. But man, they are cathartic.

Also, I've always found that meeting the right people means being right with yourself. I found the one I thought for sure didn't exist, because I found what I needed within myself.

Brilliant.

Personaly I enjoy it when my sub endures the pain, allowing me to unleash my sadism in all it's greatness. Whether they enjoy it or not does not concern me. Besides there are subs who feel the need to be put through things they do not enjoy and the other way around.

For me, it's a split.  I love a pain slut that can take, and is grateful for, a good beating.  I also like violent resistance and some rapage.

This thread has been started before.

I like a submissive who is not a pain puppy. I enjoy giving to someone who will suffer through the pain.

Do you prefer the person you play with to enjoy the pain or hate the pain? And please elaborate, if you are willing.

I don't think it would matter as long as it's consensual. If s/he is consenting and willing, even if s/he doesn't "enjoy" it, that's good by me. What I really do it for is the reactions and the screams. I love the screams.

~edited to add~ Oh, and when he starts to swear and I laugh and continue, saying "What was that? Did you hear something?" or he says the F word and I say "Fuck? Fuck is not a safeword." When he finally says his safeword "Oh, I thought I heard something" and then stop. lol

I am happy to respond here, because a few of the "posters" will try to be so cruel. They do not realize that when they say things in anger they make me feel empowered, because I have stressed them mentally, and they have to lash out against me, (as I am sure you'll see what I mean...). It is a shame though that I will not be able to respond to their comments the way I would like, I could really force more controll on them, the madder they get the "happier" I get. I am turned on by pushing the limits, by causing as much mental anguish and/or stress as possible, depending on my mood. The physical acts are not as enjoyable to me as the mental pain that is created by the physical acts. Consensual is not really what I am looking for, but it is a good starting point, the power to force, the utopia it creates, and the stress the acts cause is what drives me and causes me to increase activities to the extreme. The activities continue until I reach the point where my conscience finally takes over and stops an act from getting too far out of hand, hopefully that will continue.

As a person who lives in a world where "consensual nonconsent" exists and is valid, the idea that you have to state "consent isn't what I'm looking for" makes me think you're gonna turn up on the 9 o'clock news. Some girls like to be forced; find one of those.
Though maybe this is why you don't care how much this "slave" business hurts your current partner?

Terry, sorry, but the ridicule you impose on yourself by the posts you make here leads me to
believe you are more of a masochist than a sadist.
And in line with answering the OP, this is the difference between loving the pain and hating the pain.

Boasting about liking to hurt people against their consent doesn't make you a cool sadist. It makes you a sociopath.

And it starts, here you go again getting away from the OP's topic... I answered the OP and you don't like what I say but I am enjoying the facts that you like to make everything all about me!
Do you really know what a Sadist is or is sociopath the only word you know? And WTF is a "cool" Sadist? Hurting people against their will is illegal. A small level of consent is necessary. Without consent is the act of a criminal sadist. Prisons and cemetaries are full of criminal sadists.

Completely missed the boat on this one, kiddo. To me, consent is THE major component in all BDSM relationships, no matter the dynamic. To fill that glass, the rest would have to be force.
