"Hank Williams Jr. paying for Hitler-Obama comment" Hank Williams Jr.’s political opinions meant a whole lot of “Monday Night Football” fans would not be ready to hear “Are You Ready For Some Football?” before the Indianapolis-Tampa Bay game this week. The Williams Jr. staple that has opened up “Monday Night Football” for ages was pulled by ESPN because of Williams’ remarks on Fox that morning. According to an Associated Press report on foxnews.com, Williams was speaking about President Barack Obama’s golf game with House Speaker John Boehner on "Fox & Friends," and said, "It'd be like Hitler playing golf with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu." Williams clarified by saying he meant Obama and Vive-President Joe Biden were the enemy. Gretchen Carlson said, "You used the name of one of the most hated people in all of the world to describe the president." Williams answered, "That is true. It actually can be construed if they allow him to stay that they support his comments. Depends on whether the NFL wants to get into that battle. The last thing they need is an uproar over comments such as these.
