So we both wait [:D]

You two; disperse in that enfilade over there, in case he comes out shooting.

I have a sandbag dugout with a strawman sitting on top to draw fire.

Do you think the Tea Party on one side and OWS on the other side are part of this rebellion?

Certainly.  We aren't to the point of a "shooting war" rebellion, but we are certainly in a political and social rebellion.

The TEA party and the Occupy protesters have both identified what they believe the problem to be, but regardless of whether they are correct or not, it's obvious that we do have a problem.

Seems like you are advocating rebellion...did not Jefferson also say that( I am paraphrasing here) no people should ever take such a step lightly...or over too little grievance.
While the mechanism of free elections are still in place, when the Constitution of your country is still the law of the land....and when the Bill of Rights still hold sway....how can you advocat the violent overthrow of a lawfully elected government ?
Not liking the results of an election,or the subsequent direction the country might take due to those results does not seem to me to be reasons to rush to water the tree of liberty with your nieghors blood [8|]

I'm not advocating actual, blood-letting rebellion, no.  We aren't to that point yet, and hopefully never will be.

However, Jefferson was a bit like Cain I believe ([8D]) in using hyperbole to make a point:  the people get the government and society that they will settle for, nothing more, and nothing less.

I personally believe that the TEA party is more correct than the Occupy folks, but I acknowledge that the Occupy folks have a real grievance, even if they are more inchoate than the TEA party.  It is basically the two sides of the American streams of political thoughts, both up in arms.  It will energize both major parties, because the pressure will be on both.  Hopefully, the results will serve the greater middle.

Somewhere in these threads is a mention of responsible journalism. Thanks for posting an example of irresponsible, unprofessional, and sensationalistic journalism.

You know, I'm willing to give just about anyone a chance, especially if they're up front and the guile factor is limited. Here's where this piece rates on the guile and deception meter - about 99 out of 100.

Here's why

"Wall Street didn't put in failed economic policies. Wall Street didn't spend a trillion dollars that didn't do any good. Wall Street isn't going around the country trying to sell another $450 billion. They ought to be over in front of the White House taking out their frustration."

Honestly, I don;'t care one way or the other about Cain, but this shitty type of reporting bolstered by magpie liberals who have zero interest in honest discussion are what makes any real debate useless. A lot of people here dump all over Sanity for what he posts, then turn around and do the same fucking thing.

Dealing with many liberal minded folk is not just dealing with hypocrisy. It is wallowing in it.

Keep it up though. This is exactly the kind of shit that makes independent voters not just wonder about your aspirations, but realize the shaft is sitting behind the intentional twisting of words and intent.

You actually expected the lying, hypocrtical, racist lefties at the Huffington Compost or on these boards to be anything but their usual lying, hypocritical, racist selves?!!  High hopes, indeed. [:(]

MSA,

Let me ask you a question ... what is the benefit you get from dissing liberals, other than a momentary emotional satisfaction?

Assuming a positive response here goes.....a weak and underdeveloped intellect will always resort to uninspired cheap shots,it covers up their lack of knowledge of the issues and their lack of depth...generally speaking of course [:D]
