For instance if you read the flyer you linked to, no where on it does it say the school will be closed.

And if you read into the comments on the page you linked to, you find Betty Olsen-Jones (who is the president of the OEA), and other teachers clarifying that the School will be open, and teachers are using personal days, after finding subs for the day.

This is a very interesting topic. It will be rather illuminating to see what happens tomorow. In Oakland and elsewhere.

I expect to see more proof that you leftists are the 1%. And Oakland will go on just fine.


Some of the kids will get less of an education (which is a shame), but that doesn't seem to matter much to the OEA.

Where it says teachers are using personal days (there is an encouragement to some to do so)
where it says that teachers are finding their own subs for the day (I can assure you that the schools district administration (or whatever is high up) does not allow that, not fuckin ever).

But you show us the actual citations, point out to us the liar and pretender, uckie.

diagram the sentence tell me who 'they' refers to in post 95 and then then you can work your way thru diagramming post 102 and tell me how the subordinate clause starting ',after' can refer to anyone but the individual teachers.

Yep, schools, bussinesses and the city are opening for the day. Public transport is running on time. The 99.7% are going about thier day, ignoring the call from the .3% to shut down the city.

And some hippies are going to be joined by uniuon workers and the IWW for a rally later in the day.
