Where did I say "Only"?

And you say "again", while asking a different question?

Are you so dumb you don't recall your previous posts?

Or just a troll?

Gentleman's Warehouse??? I could not find anything about a "Gentleman's Warehouse" in oakland.. do you mean "Men's Warehouse"?.. cuz if its Mens Warehouse, they are a global corporation.. wonder if they are headquartered in Zug, Switzerland like a lotta big corps... hmm...

eta- I guess they arent one of those offshore corps (yet). Their effective tax rate is 32.68%. There are other ways of shifting certain income/money tho.. like I wonder where they buy their fabrics from, how many other subsidiaries they own, etc..

Remember the immigration reform protests in 2006? For those who dont... here is the link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_United_States_immigration_reform_protests

Anyways, the company I worked for at that time.. a national restaurant chain with no debt and the the name of the week in its name [;)] called us in for a meeting. We were told that if we wished to participate, the corporation had agreed to allow us the day off, provided enough people were on hand to run the restaurant. Seniority ruled... and many took that day off.

Many businesses support such movements. To believe these companies are left leaning is ridiculous. They merely understand that to have fought to keep employees on the clock who really wanted to go would only end up with disgruntled workers.

The again part was because you are trying to insist that a conservative who isnt bat shit crazy wouldnt participate.... which was the point of both of your posts.

Now, why would you assume that?

OAKLAND -- Hundreds have gathered (out of 375,000 people living there, and including folks from out of town according to skippy)for a mostly peaceful rally this morning in downtown Oakland to launch the general strike called by the Occupy Oakland movement, with nary a police officer in sight.

Several businesses, including the Men's Wearhouse and the Grand Lake Theater closed their doors Wednesday in support of today's planned General Strike as thousands of people are expected to join the Occupy Oakland movement to protest the inequality of wealth and power. The UC office of the President is also closed today over concerns that BART might be shut down at some point and more than 1,000 people who work in the building wouldn't be able to get to or from work.

Contrary to rumors, the Port of Oakland is not shut down, said ILWU spokesman Craig Merrilees. About 40 longshore workers out of about 325 expected on the morning shift didn't show up, however trucks are going through the gates and cranes are moving cargo on and off the ships.

That is video from downtown, not the port.

You are making shit up.

Perhaps you assholes will disrupt BART later in the day. The employees of BART are not on strike. That you might resort to economic terrorism is proof you DO NOT have the people on your side.

You are not the 99%. NOT even 1%

luckydawg -> RE: GENERAL STRIKE! OAKLAND, Wed, Nov 2nd... (11/2/2011 10:27:18 AM)

Today is the make or break for you OWSers.

Oh, I'm sorry... you must've been late to the party like you are everything else. You missed the local President of The Long Shormen's Union give his speech from that band stand they were at... that's okay... I'm sure that it'll be covered by some independent press source.
Not that it will effect your behavior much ... so whatchya going for? Sanity's understudy? Or maybe you're ferret dick's precious 'son'.
Whatever kid.

tazzygirl -> RE: GENERAL STRIKE! OAKLAND, Wed, Nov 2nd... (11/2/2011 10:32:10 AM)

How many times have we seen, both on these boards and in the media, that thw OWSers are a flash in the pan and wont last long?

Ahem.......

Lucylastic -> RE: GENERAL STRIKE! OAKLAND, Wed, Nov 2nd... (11/2/2011 10:33:01 AM)

luckydawg -> RE: GENERAL STRIKE! OAKLAND, Wed, Nov 2nd... (11/2/2011 10:35:24 AM)

You got lots of insults, not much else.

Really kind of pathetic what angry lying fucks you OWSers are.

I must admit it is funny to watch you backtrack from "the Port is shut down" to the president of the union (the local not the national...a guy who doesn't actually work the port) is giving a speech across town.....

Lots of OWSers are so dumb the won't notice.

luckydawg -> RE: GENERAL STRIKE! OAKLAND, Wed, Nov 2nd... (11/2/2011 10:38:48 AM)

So yall are preparing the resons why the call to shut down the city in a general strike has been ignored.

It must of course be something other than the 99% doesn't support you.

This was OWSers putting out a serious call, in the place with your biggest "event".

And it is ignored by the public at large.

Zero unions went on strike with you.

Zero...

tazzygirl -> RE: GENERAL STRIKE! OAKLAND, Wed, Nov 2nd... (11/2/2011 10:40:14 AM)

What lucky is assuming is that people can afford to take the day off. Simply because they dont show up doesnt mean they dont support.

Lucylastic -> RE: GENERAL STRIKE! OAKLAND, Wed, Nov 2nd... (11/2/2011 10:43:40 AM)

watching the live event, few more than a hundred or so..

He's citing a news article published before the union encouraged walking off .
Whatever just the schools alone of this community of 400+K people constitute 'hundreds.
CNN just showed thousands of people in one part of town in a live interview with one of the facilitators. Dawg is talk out it's ass.
