We take our lumps... I talked four cops out of an arrest this weekend.
And for a while, it looked like the cops just wanted a fight. The cool thing is that when you can relate to them at the neighborhood level (we had a guy who knew people in common with one of the older cops, and the conversation became diffused... and we kind of won another supporter).
    They were going to lock us up for objecting to their hassling a homeless guy (real ones come visit Dewey all the time. They're given warmer clothing sleeping bags, food, anything we can give em that'll help em survive.). Doing weekends down there, I've been able to figure out the BPD are pretty select as to which of these folks they will treat like people. In Boston, and I make no judgement call here. They say "they have their reasons", but we couldn't see it. What I do know is they ALWAYS have the option to call the winter van from Pine Street Inn (which was done by us while we kind of detained the cops in a heated conversation... That's why they got mad at us. But like I said, we got our thing done and one of our guys was a homie of sorts with one of the Sr. Cops, so things got chilled.
    My experience is this is how a LOT of the OWS Police contact is like. And YEAH, Part of my reason to go in and camp again this weekend was to determine how much infiltration is occurring. And what it looks like is that there really isn't the type of 'infiltration' they describe in the press. What it is is these jokers show up for the marches and really, they run on the sidewalks through the crowds. In Boston anyway, they are pretty well known to the Cops and the cops are NOT trying to pin these jerks to our movement. PLUS in Boston (and I sorta thinks this starts with police union members getting  'taken care of'' by giving the cops who normally go under cover for music and sporting events and catch scalpers and street dealers)... But suffice it to say that walking through the crowds who are making a business out of handcuffing these pricks and throwing them into vehicles w that kind of just peel off from the rear of the march and go 'where ever' what I will say is pretty suspicious though is that of the 10 I counted Saturday,  9 were back in action today. All they really do is accost and yell things at pedestrians trying to piss them off. But they are clearly keeping moving and it's clear that when they get a reaction they run through the march crowd and go work the opposite side of the street. It give the illusion, I suppose, that the asshole came from the OWS crowd in the first place. We do have and have shown to the cops a series of hand signals to point these guys out... and the cops answer back... So we know that is working.

Mayor Menino’s sentiment reflects that concern.

“They have a message that’s not a clear message. The problem we have today is that we have different groups infiltrating the people who have the message. We have anarchists who are part of the group. We have homeless individuals who are part of the group,” Menino told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.

Same source, Rich. Im sure it is a problem. But even the authorities seem to understand its not the occupiers.

Let me know when he gets to the "growing concern that UFOs are droping greylians off to launch a take-over of the Earth" ... or 'URTH' as Mumbles would say.
   I was there all weekend and probably interacted with just about every person camping there. The only people I would associate with prison culture is the guy with the "History of injustice at Walpole prison exhibit" Which consists of three 60-something former residents of the INFAMOUS Walpole Correctional Facility. And Lemme tell ya they look really dangerous. I slept with one eye open cause of those guys.
   So this all comes of Rich and his new boyfriend, the most laughed at democratic mayor in America? So what exactly is the rule 'democrats are a combination of evil and crazy... But become credible sources when you need material for an attack ad?
   That's what filtering Rich really accomplishes you know... it's a hypocrisy filter and it works wonders.
