Me too, it just seems to be a part of the season. But I don't go to the work and trouble of having a live tree anymore. Nowadays I just put together a spray or two of branches as decoration. Same scent, and easier.

I find it telling that many people do not seem to be "getting" the real issue.

Since when it is ok for an industry to get it's friends in government to pass a tax, and then pass it back along to them (the industry) in order to fund their own advertisement, marketing and research?

And, apparently, not even the elected officials, but governmental bureaucrats?

This is a great example of "crony capitalism" yet here are some of the supporters and sympathizers OWS making fun of it, or saying ignore it!

Not sure what that is supposed to mean, but I should point out I thought regan was the biggest idiot to ever hit the white house. I can't give you details on why because that period of my life is a bit of a haze, but I do remember that much. I did however like the chimp. He was cute.

Well isn't that tolerant of you. Do you hate the religious folks on the left or do they get a pass because of their politics? De you honestly believe they don't have the same beliefs as the ones on the right? And how many religions does "the religious right" cover? Do you hate all the right wing jews as well? What about athiests? If they are on the right but not religious, do they get a pass or do you hate them too?

Status: offline 		I hate the religious right because by definition we are talking about folks who are uber active in trying to impose their morality on the rest of us.The religious right I am speaking of is actively involved in trying to codify their values and subvert the law of the land to their beliefs...irrespective of separation of church and state.
Now if that strikes you as intolerant you will have to learn to deal with it....I really don't care....I have no use for folks who have no tolerance for others.Which is exactly the agenda being pushed by the religious right...since I made no comment on those other groups I will table how I feel about them till another time...I hope all of that was clear enough for you.
