Honestly, babies shouldn't be in a courtroom at all. (imo) And if you have to feed, (bottle or breast) go outside the courtroom.



Actually, I agree, and if I had had to make any court appearances when I had babies, I think I would have found a babysitter. But, it's a different world today, young parents seem to be more willing to take the kids with them everywhere. Maybe the mom in question couldn't find a babysitter?

Status: offline 		That's very possible. I also think that people feel much more relaxed today just doing...whatever they feel like doing.
Where I was raised to have a certain amount of decorum in certain situations (& no, being poor doesn't matter. You can get a nice dress at Goodwill for 3 to 5 dollars) many people are comfortable behaving in public as if they are in the privacy of their own homes.
I think it's just a different mindset, and I'm not sure it's for the better.

When I was in yoga teacher training, one of my fellow trainees wore a big turtle necklace, which I found distracting. I dealt with it.

We do not know this for a fact. The only "facts" we have are the ones this lady gave us. I don't see her as an unbiased source.

She was there because she had gotten a ticket for operating a boat without a boating safety course (she was unaware she needed the course). The child was there because he had an ear infection and his daycare wouldn't take him.

Status: offline 		It will go as it would be expected to go. The judge will be angered but as I will be on the side of truth he will relent. If he should incarcerate me in the process of his relenting, my solicitors will force my release and the judge will be chastened and both poorer and the wiser for his efforts. How else could such a thing proceed.

Status: offline 		I read what she had originally posted to the "mommy group" online. She was already feeding her child when her case came up. She asked for a moment (I presume to unlatch her child and straighten up her clothes) and when she saw the note the bailiff gave the judge she got upset.
