ORIGINAL: Iamsemisweet LOL. Hey blushes, how would you like to come to my county on Friday docket day, and whip those people not paying attention into shape. Including, but not limited to, the members of the bar who didn't get the memo that they are supposed to be giving their entire attention to the proceedings. Hey, can you give me the cite for the court rule that requires people in the courtroom to give their "entire attention" to the proceedings? quote:
ORIGINAL: xxblushesxx Because when you're in court, you're supposed to be giving your entire attention to the proceedings, as are the people around you. The preparations and what you're doing in between the feeding is distracting, whether someone else agrees or not. You don't put on makeup, text or breast feed when you're supposed to be paying attention. You also shouldn't do things that may distract those around you. Someone else's life may ride on the fact that there are no distractions. Yep, attorneys (not surprisingly) get special privileges. Such as being able to be reading the files on the cases they are about to appear for. How about citing the court rule that says people don't need to behave in a respectful manner and honor the decorum of the tribunal? Wanna take that one on? Of course not, because court rules apply to those making the appearances, NOT about those sitting in the court forum, who may or may not have business with the court. The court rules apply to those who do.
