Correct. Innocent bystander (4'10" 84 yo lady) gets pepper sprayed. THATS IT.

There was also a priest and a 19 yo pregnant girl pepper sprayed at the same time (such fearsome beasts) but that wasn't part of your question.

I highly doubt "thats it". And wtf is a pregnant girl doing there in the first place?

If you don't think 'that's it' please feel free to refute.

As for the pregnant girl. Why shouldn't she? This isn't the 50's where we lock a woman in the house as soon as she gets pregnant. Hell, she might have either been a single mom to be or been doing the shopping.

As for the priest. If he wasn't wearing vestments, the article didn't say, the police would have no way to know but I can't see that pepperspraying someone in a clerical collar would look good either.

ETA if he was staring at a little boy's butt, it was totally justified.[8D]

Lucylastic -> RE: Video - Pepper Spray Incident Debunked (11/26/2011 10:58:06 AM)

she was homeless so what do you care
pregnant women arent allowed to be protestors? gotta be wrapped up and locked in the kitchen huh?

What about 84 year old ladies, tsk tsk, apart from the one who was pushed down the stairs by the OWS that turned out to be her son that pushed her.
there are inumerable stories about the old lady...search it out and learn something outside your own little safety box

What part of "doubt" dont you understand? Just like I doubted that the whole story wasnt being reported about the pepperspraying, and I was right. More will come out about this one eventually.

Why shouldnt she? Because you dont put yourself in harms way when youre pregant, and if you dont think that joining a crowd of thousands who's strategy is to provoke, then youre just being disingenuous.

I didnt say anything about the priest.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Video - Pepper Spray Incident Debunked (11/26/2011 11:31:21 AM)

There's no part of 'doubt' that I don't understand. 'Doubt" usually has a reason. I was asking for your reason. Do you have evidence or is it just your RW bias.

mnottertail -> RE: Video - Pepper Spray Incident Debunked (11/26/2011 11:41:22 AM)

So is this like a replay of the republican goon and thug willfully and with malice aforethought hurling his mother to her certain death?

You should always include UFO sightings in your posts to ad something of GREATER credibility.

So what you're saying is the campus policemen couldn't exit the area peacefully, so this warranted them spraying the young people seated on the ground HOW?

Forgive me but I am trying to see what part of BAD POLICE PROCEDURE  you aren't getting.

Logic would dictate that if they couldn't leave, they might fight their way out, but that isn't what happened. And oddly, they walked right out afterward with their victims in tow to the chant of shame from the crowd.
Those campus cops will be penalized and very likely lose their jobs and deservedly so. Regardless of what crap you post here.

Sanity -> RE: Video - Pepper Spray Incident Debunked (11/26/2011 11:54:15 AM)

In the larger perspective, its great irony that the crowd was chanting about the conditions under which they would allow the police to exit the situation... [;)]

So the trained, armoured, and well-equippped squad of police, who had radios for backup, zip strips for detaining, clubs for beating, and guns for killing, was so trapped by this crowd, that they pulled out a pepper spray canister and emptied it onto the faces of some kids sitting nearby, so they could make a narrow escape from the threatening situation?

I was going to say "you can't be serious"..... but it appears you are. Oh dear.

You got the bias part right...but not mine, the MSM, that still hasnt presented a fair picture of the pepper spraying.

There's nothing wrong with having a bias. Virtually everyone does. I daresay that everyone on this board has biases myself included.
As long as you understand your biases and act accordingly.

I believe there was a "change" in the officers stories with regard to their being 'trapped' and that plus the fact they clearly WEREN'T in the video which apparently every human being on the planet, except you of course has seen at this point.
But nice try anyway. I admire a guy who sticks by his half-assed propaganda till it's moldy enough to scare zombies off.

Quote from OP's allegedly damning article:

Oh, that's right... here's your honest Abe act. Basically there ISN'T one person who was there who will corroborate any of the SEVERAL versions I've heard attributed to the policemen being put on administrative leave (this is done to protect the public from a potentially dangerous officer. Their guns and badges are taken from them at this time as well) and informed that their actions will be subject to a full investigation of possible use of excessive force.
And THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS TESTIMONY LIKE THIS:
ELLI PEARSON: Well, we were protesting together, and the riot cops came at us, and we linked arms and sat down peacefully to protest their presence on our campus. And at one point, they were—we had encircled them, and they were trying to leave, and they were trying to clear a path. And so, we sat down, linked arms, and said that if they wanted to clear the path, they would have to go through us. But we were on the ground, you know, heads down. And all I could see was people telling me to cover my head, protect myself, and put my head down. And the next thing I know, I was pepper-sprayed. AMY GOODMAN: You were in the white jacket? ELLI PEARSON: Yes, I was. AMY GOODMAN: And what did the pepper-spraying feel like? ELLI PEARSON: Well, I couldn’t see anything. And so, if I—you know, I felt like pepper spray go over my body, and then I started choking on the fumes. And I lifted my head at one point, and one of the protesters had come to kind of protect our huddle of people, and he just told me to keep my head down. And then, from that point on, all I could hear was screaming around me and people being jostled.<End Quoting>
The same exact Q&A almost to the letter would go down between ANY lawyer worth his salt investigating this matter. When the police engaged in brutality which is clearly shown in the video. I'm in no way buying the shit claim that they were in any way actually curtailed from doing anything. There was an island of people sitting on the ground and a big old avenue out ... Nah, they wanted to show the rest of the crowd who was boss by torturing people on the ground. And pictures and video do not lie. And the intelligence of a 'journalist' who makes that molehill the basis for publishing and then includes evidence to the CONTRARY as his supportive documentation has fools-a-plenty in his readership    The whole fucking article is nothing less than LAUGHABLE.

Maybe its time to break it down a little further for you and let you in on the joke

The leftist mob is chanting in the video about their demands for releasing the campus police

And you and your friends here are calling them liars...  i.e."Never take a chanting mob of leftists word on anything..."

Get it yet? [;)]

Probably not...

Hey isn't it neat how the policeman gets into position to spray by STEPPING OVER the seated protesters who have them TRAAPPED?????
That's what you believe?
You poor bastard.
So your assertion is that their deman is "the Whole World Is Watching"???? REALLY???? Or are the demands cleverly hidden within the screams of pain of the people actually getting pepper sprayed? Or Maybe they were 'demanding' the officers feel shame as in "Shame on You, Shame on You"

OH Wait... You're referring to them shouting "Don't Shoot Students" Whahahahahahahahaahha
You really are rich!
Congratulations on your 'theory'[:D]

And of course kids who willingly sit through an experience like this, aren't Patriots, but rather thrill seekers like in some Harold Robbins novel, aren't they?

Anyway, I've had enough potato logic for one night toodle-loo

Whats next? Another sell phone blackout? Confiscation of all visible cell phones?

SternSkipper -> RE: Video - Pepper Spray Incident Debunked (11/26/2011 6:19:56 PM)

One last thought though... As I watched the multi perspective video, it's very clear that as the policemen are pulling out their cans and dropping their visors shaking their cans, one very clearly looks to the others and says "let's rock and roll" I suppose those words are his way of expressing the terrible fear that's gripped him [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
