So are you and Lucky suggesting it was a different panel from the one who started the application, to the one that finished it. If so can you find a link ?

I bet you just miss the Bush days and the collapse of the economy huh.

Lucylastic -> RE: hope and change and the most transparent presidency EVER! (11/27/2011 5:04:47 PM)

you would have a little credibility if you admitted that the 8 million jobs lost before Obama was sworn in, is going to take a lot longer than three years to undo.
But if you had ANY credibility, I would stop posting

No. You really are fucking unable to grasp what you read aren't you.

I have stated and backedup with sources, that the panel was subject to "intense pressure" by the Obama adminstration to approve it.

I notice you are not refuting or even acknowledging the link to the NYtimes I posted and quoted from.

That is being an intellectual coward.

Deliberate ignorance (and your good at it) probably is your best tactic at this point.

I have the facts and reality on my side.

What difference does that make? Total strawman.

The administration in power, that holds sway over their fucking jobs, pushed them to approve it. WTF do you think any panel is going to do?

In fact, if anything it is more damning if it WAS the same panel that wouldnt approve it after 2 years of study, but did an about face as soon as Obama stepped in.

Thanks for the support.

It’s often claimed that the Solyndra loan guarantee was “rushed through” by the Obama Administration for political reasons. In fact, the Solyndra loan guarantee was a multi-year process that the Bush Administration launched in 2007.

Excuse No. 2: Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo., claimed that both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations "supported Solyndra's loan guarantee application."

Problem
: In its final month, the Bush Department of Energy credit committee voted against a loan guarantee for Solyndra.

It was the Obama White House that pushed for early conditional approval of a Solyndra deal, despite an Office of Management and Budget staffer's warning that "this deal is not ready for prime time." Also, the Obama White House embraced Solyndra with unprecedented support so that the company, which never had turned a profit, had a U.S. president, vice president and energy secretary at its high-publicity events.

It absolutely IS relevant. 1.3% is not relevant in business. It's only relevant as a phony political scandal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle#In_business

The distribution shows up in several different aspects relevant to entrepreneurs and business managers. For example:

* 80% of your profits come from 20% of your customers
* 80% of your complaints come from 20% of your customers
* 80% of your profits come from 20% of the time you spend
* 80% of your sales come from 20% of your products
* 80% of your sales are made by 20% of your sales staff[9]

Therefore, many businesses have an easy access to dramatic improvements in profitability by focusing on the most effective areas and eliminating, ignoring, automating, delegating or re-training the rest, as appropriate.

Termyn8or -> RE: The Phony Solyndra Scandal (11/27/2011 6:15:13 PM)

Business as usual, nothing to see here. It's all Obama's fault even though the whole process started before him, but he supported it, unless you think he did this singlehandedly in which case you think that about the health care mess as well. They are all a bunch of assholes.

Somebody got a half a billion of our money. Go figure. Assholes think they can assign it to one party or the other, unless you got alot more records than you would care to compile. You can but it's disappointing in the end because your own info proves you wrong. Fuck all that.

The half a bil is gone, they are ALL RESPOSIBLE, whether they understand the meaning of the fucking word or not.

If the door is open, EVERYONE left it open. If the light is on EVERYONE left it on. Kapeesh ? I want the records. Until proven otherwise both parties are the scum of the Earth.

T^T

It`s when all of a sudden it`s really really wrong.....after it`s never been a big deal before.....that`s the difference here.

How many BILLIONS did your shrub waste in Iraq, while you sat silently?

Your fast and furious poop is also going no-where.

Accept with the cool-aid drinkers.

Who don`t count b/c you`re not going to vote for President Obama anyway.

Its irrelveant because the government should have NO loan portfolio. They have no crystal ball that overrides the market's assesment of a company's investment potential. What gives them the right to gamble on what the market told them was a losing propostion with taxpayer money?

Federal government loan asset sales are rapidly gaining acceptance where it counts most--on Capitol Hill and on Wall Street. actually, the Obama administration pressured them to delay announcing layoffs till after the 2010 mid-term elections.....

You and the NYT seem to be leaving that part out.

It is a standard partisan Democrat trick to try to misdefine what the scandal is so you can argue it is not a scandal.

Rather intellectually dishonest though.

Why should this post be any different?

Oh it's a scandal but what isn't and hasn't been for 200 years when it comes to govt. and business in bed together. It's all part of socializing the capitalists.

What has really happened here is that a number of several solar companies have gone bankrupt, since the 90's and because of the Chinese govt. subsidizing their industry under the continuing western belief that corrupt communists would not be corrupt capitalist fascists... they are and [we] do nothing about it. The US govt. doesn't protect US companies, it protects profitable companies anywhere.

Several companies suffer bankruptcy on the US dole throughout ALL administrations, this one is a handy denigration for repub partisanship of the current admin. If the repubs take power in '12, we will really be in a world of revolution of the great capitalist proletariat. (peasant) I see another wall street bailout before 2020, if we elect a repub govt. And they willl be laughing all of the way to the few surviving banks.

An odd statement, since it was the Republicans who fought the last wall street bailout, and its the Democrat advisory staff/appointees the crafted the entire thing.
