I havent always liked their decisions either, Moon. And have from time to time been quite vocal about it. Not to this extent, but I have made my points. And, yes, often in private.
She mentioned it because she is being put on the line for something she wasnt even a part too as a result of personal problems. Had she mentioned it was just a personal problem, she would have gotten flack over that as well.
Frankly, she didnt need to post at all. She didnt need to explain at all. She didnt need to offer to read any complaints people may have in private.
But she did. This is her ball of wax. If another Mod screws up, she gets the blame.
So why dont you cut her some slack. She wasnt here. She didnt do anything that people are complaining about right now... but she damn well is getting the blame for it.
