I love watching Tebow! He's unconventional, and gives good game. And he also wins with suspense to spare. He's my favorite player. Champ Bailey is my second favorite.

Tebow would say it's God.

And that is exactly why I say...Fuck Tebow.
I really don't mind that he is a man of faith...what I do mind is that he thinks God is on HIS side in a damm sporting event.While I ,myself,am not very religious...believing that there is a God does not upset me in the least,but when you believe that that god is aiding you in your athletic endeavors you tick me the fuck off.Just how stupid do you have to be to believe in a higher power and than think that this higher power has nothing better to do than make sure your side wins.
Fucking assinine.

He can say that, but it makes no sense to me.  It's just a football game.

My view is that Christianity promises you things in the next life in return for a proper life in this one.  It's the Devil that promises things in this world.

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (12/4/2011 8:26:11 PM)

all well and good DS,call it team chemistry if you like....just dont tell me it is because Tebow prays better than everyone else.....lol.
p.s I am not suggesting that this is what You are selling.....just that Tebow,and his mom rub me the wrong way [:)]

You remember what Carlin says about those types of athletes, right?

"You never hear these cocksuckers mention God when they lose. You never hear 'The good Lord tripped me up behind the line of scrimmage.'"

Tebow has never said God is responsible for winning football games or that God has granted him special abilities to perform athletic feats. You will not find one teammate that says Tim Tebow is beating them over the head with a Bible, you will not find any journalist saying he's trying to convert people with every interview. Find ,me one interview where time Tebow said God wanted his team to win or that God willed Tebow's and his team to victory.

What he has done however when asked is tell people that his own faith has made him a better person and made his convictions to get them most out of his ability, stronger.

Tim Tebow is the ultimate team player and when you talk to his teammates in Denver, they are all rallying to him.

Everybody in the Stadium knew he was going up the middle on that two point conversion and STILL the Vikings could not stop it.

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (12/5/2011 8:40:07 AM)

You just dont get it do you FDD,Tebow is an athlete and as such he is open to being liked or disliked by fans(that is sort of why they get paid money...due to fans having an interest) I just dont like Tebow,nor his anti choice mother.
So along those lines I come along and magnify or amplify certain characteristics of his....for instance his much publicized penchant for the Tebow prayer after scoring...so once again FUCK TIM TEBOW.
I am under no obligation for proving any of these "feelings" about Tebow...this is sports,not public office.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: TEBOW! (12/5/2011 8:52:43 AM)

FR to Mod....

So why was this moved again?

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (12/5/2011 10:41:27 AM)

Are you saying Tebow transcends sports?
LOL,he is a fucking football player...nothing more,nothing less.
So let us judge him as a football player....he is no NFL quaterback,he is a baller for sure(in other words he can play some ball) but he is not a QB...not in the NFL,which stands for,in Tebows case, the Not For Long league....lol
He will shortly be exposed,his deficiancies will rise to the surface and John Elway( who was ,and can still recognize one of his own,an actual NFL qb) will draft himself a real live QB for that franchise this coming draft.

DarkSteven -> RE: TEBOW! (12/5/2011 1:16:04 PM)

Stolen from a comment in a Tebow article in the Denver Post:

Elway has his best showing as a VP after the Vikings game.

Elways is showing good improvement. He went through his progressions for his responses and made good choices in his remarks. No fumbling for words, no meanings were batted around or intercepted. No stupid comments, no prognostications about the future, nothing but were happy were winning, Tebows improving obviously, and things are good.

Well said Vice President. This was your best showing to date. But lets see if we can get the positive comments above sixty percent next week...

McCoy is working on a Speak/Option system for you. We called the Myer guy as well.

So I guess he's actually playing in the CFL?

In the NFL, in 2011 Tim Tebow is 5-1 and has vaulted his team into 1st place. Yesterday his QB rating was 149.3.

Tebow's been living proof that the QB rating means squat.

Screw the completion percentage and all that stuff.  When Tebow's on the field, the Broncos win games they shouldn't win.  That's the best metric of all.

slvemike4u -> RE: TEBOW! (12/5/2011 8:16:33 PM)

Lets just see how long it takes for the league to catch up to him.A few years ago the Dolphins had some success with the "wild cat " offence,but it wasn't substainable.The NFL loves nothing as much as success,have some with any new system,and the league will mimic your every innovation The 46 defense,the 3-4....cover 2,you name it if it is viable they will reproduce it.
Well the NFL has never and will never have a team that for reasons other than a lack of talent(Denver) employs an option offense....and the why is simple.The athletes playing defense in the NFL are too big ,too fast and too talented for the option to be successful
So why is Tebow and the Denver Broncos having their little run right now?
Simple answer,the league needs time to adjust...thats right,Denver is playing an offense so BACKWARDS that NFL defensive coordinators have not,yet,caught up.
Here is what will happen...some Defensive coordinator will sit down and say to himself enough is enough...ad he will game plan Tebow to a fare thee well,and than his defense will go out and execute(remember every other game these guys play is against a PRO offense...all of a sudden they have to remember how to do it like they used to do it at the old University...lol)in the process beating the shit out of Tebow pretty good(remember these guys are too good and too fast)...and that is it,now the blue print is out,every future team breaks down those films and the ride is over.
Elway drafts a real QB and Tebow starts announcing SEC games and recalling his "glory days"
Tutorial over.[:D]

But not today....

Denver 13 - Chicago 10

DarkSteven -> RE: TEBOW! (12/11/2011 4:30:08 PM)

Unbelievable.  Yet another win stolen from what should have been a defeat.  Meanwhile, the Packers are proving my contention that Oakland is overrated.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: TEBOW! (12/11/2011 6:30:35 PM)

I can't spare this man, he fights

servantforuse -> RE: TEBOW! (12/11/2011 7:03:07 PM)

Tebow certainly isn't the first player to thank God for his playing skills or for wins. Many players from both teams have a prayer after the game. Reggi White gave the Almighty credit for the Packers winning Super Bowl 36. Tim Tebow is nothing new. Leave the guy alone.
