I don't know what Tebow is really like on the field, but I often see him joking around with the opposing team. Players from the opposing team will often pat his helmet, or even hug him after the game. Maybe they are old friends, but that means he has a lot of friends. It's also possible the other players just think he's a stand up guy. Like today, when Tebow's pass was intercepted. Afterward Tebow and the interceptor were talking and grinning at each other. I wouldn't be surprised if Tebow was telling the guy, "great interception. don't do it again."

Lets just see how long it takes for the league to catch up to him.A few years ago the Dolphins had some success with the "wild cat " offence, but it wasn't substainable. The NFL loves nothing as much as success, have some with any new system, and the league will mimic your every innovation The 46 defense, the 3-4....cover 2,you name it if it is viable they will reproduce it.
Well the NFL has never and will never have a team that for reasons other than a lack of talent(Denver) employs an option offense....and the why is simple. The athletes playing defense in the NFL are too big ,too fast and too talented for the option to be successful
So why is Tebow and the Denver Broncos having their little run right now?
Simple answer, the league needs time to adjust...thats right,Denver is playing an offense so BACKWARDS that NFL defensive coordinators have not, yet, caught up.
Here is what will happen...some Defensive coordinator will sit down and say to himself enough is enough...ad he will game plan Tebow to a fare thee well, and than his defense will go out and execute(remember every other game these guys play is against a PRO offense...all of a sudden they have to remember how to do it like they used to do it at the old University...lol)in the process beating the shit out of Tebow pretty good(remember these guys are too good and too fast)...and that is it,now the blue print is out, every future team breaks down those films and the ride is over.

This what happened today. If Chicago could score a reasonable number of points or not have a RB stop the clock for no good reason Denver loses the game and the QB option was basically nonexistent all day.

It's really too bad the Pack beat the Broncos before Tebow started starting. It would have been funny watching him try and mount a comeback from 4 or 5 TD's down.

True. Denver beat Chicago because of Chicago's errors in the final quarter. So why is this something to diss Tebow about? Football games are often won because of the opposing team's mistakes. In any case, I believe Tebow's passing is improving. I lay the incompletes squarely on the receivers for that game. In the meantime, Tebow is a great RB (the Bears said so, LOL). I love watching him stiff arm the defense. (Without grabbing a helmet.)

There's a reason I post about Tebow's personality on the field. He can lift the spirits of a team, inspiring them to do better. Not just by rah, rah, rah, but by not being a jerk. You have to admit there are QBs, so full of themselves, getting irritated by mistakes, demoralizing the team, yelling at the coaches and officials, who create bad drama. You might say these guys are pro athletes and shouldn't care, but at the end of the day they are human beings. Tebow's attitude is "we'll get 'em next play". And sometimes it works.

Go Brady. Should be a good game next Sunday at 4pm. Denver will have the advantage because playing at home (thin air up there, whatch for visiting QB's overthrowing their receivers).

And that is exactly why I say...Fuck Tebow.
I really don't mind that he is a man of faith...what I do mind is that he thinks God is on HIS side in a damm sporting event. While I ,myself,am not very religious...believing that there is a God does not upset me in the least, but when you believe that that god is aiding you in your athletic endeavors you tick me the fuck off.Just how stupid do you have to be to believe in a higher power and than think that this higher power has nothing better to do than make sure your side wins.
Fucking assinine.

You mad, brah?

Get a grip.

Comparing it to the Wildcat shows that you know absolutely nothing about football.

The Denver spread option isn't a gimmick. It's sound football. It eliminates the defense's numeric advantage in the running game while also leaving the option open for the pass. It causes wreaks havoc for defensive ends and scheming in general.

It's not used often because teams are afraid of quarterback durability.

These guys aren't "too good and too fast". They're NFL players. Do you know who else is an NFL player? Tim Tebow and many of the folks he played in the SEC.

Don't talk about what can and cannot work when your basic knowledge of the game is lacking.

Tebow certainly isn't the first player to thank God for his playing skills or for wins. Many players from both teams have a prayer after the game. Reggi White gave the Almighty credit for the Packers winning Super Bowl 36. Tim Tebow is nothing new. Leave the guy alone.

Why should I "Leave the guy alone",he steps onto the playing field,he accepts the money and the fame than he is open to criticism...warranted or not. That is the God given (lol) right of fans...and the very purpose of call in radio shows. If Tebow has a need for folks to not comment on his faith than perhaps he,and his mother ,should have kept their faith private....instead of engaging in prostylizing ...which ,to a large degree,he has and is doing.

Your post is proof positive that I have ,over the years ,probably forgotten more about football than you have ever known.
A typical SEC defense MIGHT have one,or at the outside two,NFL quality defenders on their 100 plus squad.Of course NFL defenders are too fast and too big for the option offense to work in the NFL.These defenders are the cream of the crop, the chaff has entered the real world after enjoying thier college success. The NFL is where the MEN go to play, while the boys try to get some value from thier physical education degrees.
You know who else doesn't believe this is substainable......John Fucking Elway, thats who...have you heard of him,he is in the NFL Hall of Fame....and despite Tebows 7-1 record John Elway refuses to jump on this bandwagon.
Fuck Tebow, and fuck any idiot that doesnt understand enough about the game to realize they should keep their mouth shut when addressing those that know what they are talking about.
Thanks for playing.
