Truth is, the night I joined up, I wanted a new name but couldn't think of one. I was living along the coast then, and the autumn gale force winds coming across the bay were making the wind chimes I had on the porch clang like church bells. I said, ok, and created windchymes, adding the 'y' just for shits and grins. That's all, wish I had a really touching story like so many here do :)

Perhaps you underestimate the value and effect your name has. I find it light, charming and whimsical.

Mine was given to me by NocturnalStalker, he called me "Heather McLeather" in a post he was ripping into me and Hanners in and it was meant to be sort of an insult, but I loved it, so when I made my own profile I chose that name.
