Lastly, what is a special forces Lt Colonel doing at a rape trial? You're not an attorney or the defendent. Due to the fact that you were only gone a few hours, it is evident that the jury was deliberating in which case, you presence was totally unneeded. If it was someone under your command, it would be a Court martial and you would have referred to it as such.
You seem to know less about the justice system than the military.
