ORIGINAL: MasterDoc1 Icarys says: The republicans won't have a choice if they don't back Paul. I agree Icarys, which is why I would bet on Obama these days. Either the republicans nominate Paul (and they win) or they nominate anyone else. If they nominate anyone else, Gary Johnson runs as a libertarian, gets many of the disaffected Paul supporters and hands the election to Obama. Since I don't think the republicans will nominate Paul that means a win for Obama. I know Paul is organized in the caucus states but which states do you think he will win, Icarys? I am CERTAIN Paul WON"T go third party; hes been there done that, knows the deck is stacked to make it IMPOSSIBLE to win and is too old to make gestures (and make enemies that his son will have to live with down the road). Doc 1, but who's going to actually vote for Oblunder, the Seniors? The Veterans? The Independents? The Gun owners? Unemployed young people? At this point many on the left no longer like him. He'll get the teacher's Unions and some on the left. I voted saturday here in Myrtle Beach, SC in the republican primary for Ron Paul and you know who I saw there? BLACK PEOPLE! At the REPUBLICAN primary! You never see that here. This is shaping up to be a "Nixon vs Mc Carthy" election. And just wait 'till they start asking "the question;" "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?" This guy has been a disaster. It's like watching a drunk walking down the sidewalk with his shoes untied.
