I would rather not tell you why I personally know this is bullshit, but this is bullshit

Well there probably weren't any CIA guys trying to play then anyway.

actually, the reason I believe this is bullshit is because although I have not been involved lately, I have in the distant past, and if anon caught the CIA in their midst, the agent would not only likely have their entire life exposed to people they really wouldn't want associating with their family, because there have been instances where anonymous has had people beaten and arrested for various things in the distant past, when it was all just for fun (this can be accomplished with relative ease, I don't want to go into the logistics) and it is not a good idea to cross them. I don't know how the group moves and works currently, but back in the day (2006ish) if you pissed off anonymous badly enough they'd have everything about you up on 4chan and anyone on /b/ at the time would so at least something to torment you. the beating reference has to do with a guy who posted a video of himself torturing his cat on youtube. not only did anon rally together and get him arrested, we had people waiting for him in the drunk tank on minor violations to beat him senseless who hid cameras in uncomfortable places just so we could all watch. I did not participate in any of this. I am not a part of anonymous anymore, but I do not believe that the CIA would be able to maintain cover within their ranks or be able to make use of them as a tool for the government. Just doesn't add up, and maybe that's why you guys are right on that.

Wow, you managed to get some guys arrested and know in advance where the perp would be taken, so you could carry out a vigilante attack. Hardly the work of upright citizens is it.

The latest story to break in the UK is that Anon hacked into a video call between cops here and the FBI. The video call was about hackers. It may or may not be true but sounds plausible. The biggest worry is that hackers may cause so much trouble that the laws and security concerning the net become draconian.

actually, the biggest concern is, I would argue, that people like you continue to support the system and are unwilling to use any means at your disposal or to support the means others might use, to see that it ends so that something new and less completely broken than our already draconian, inefficient, unreasonable, and ultimately if you take the time to look at all factors completely intolerable and unworthy governments can be brought into being. Now, you can sit there and quibble about the past (the group has evolved and changed focuses remarkably since the occupy movement started moving) or you can look at what your new allies are capable of and smile to know that they will prove an effective force for change in the future. the alternative of course is that when it's your turn to do something you can just roll over and take it from those in power instead of standing together with the rest of the patriots to say fuck no get the hell out of my country you money grubbing psychotic pieces of shit.

Oh, and as far as upright citizens go, being an upright citizen to a fascist government is a terrible, horrifying thing that is abhorrent to anyone who values freedom.

Actually, you assume way too much, without having a clue who or what I support. If you think beating people up in jail makes you any better than fascists, you need a rethink.
