Is it like hard for you to get that this thread is kind of an evolving thing ?

Personally, I think you should be kinder to the wild life. You defend women, but hate men? As a man who has defended the fair sex, I am unable to appreciate your approach. It is superficial. It is better to wrong no one. They prefer your sort over me, however. Take what lesson you want from that.

BenevolentM -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/24/2012 2:32:14 AM)

Catholics are reputed to be cold, but we are taught to endure suffering as soldiers of Christ. If we fail, we are forgiven. If we are to make one more stand, it is because we love Him. I love Him. He knew my heart when the devil did not.

But good luck with your thread it's sure shaping up to be a doozey.

Screw your complement. I don't need it. It is dirty.

Here's what I seem to prefer, since this is round 4 or 5 and your lightbulb still won't go off. This thread may have been created for a lot of things in the mind of the author. What I am reasonably certain is that it WASN'T created for the purpose of you following a female around from another thread cause you weren't satisfied the argument was over. Either you realized that, and are backtracking so you look like the victim, or you still don't get it, yet you've stopped. Either way I am happy.

Actually, no, this one started here and that one started there, but do go on confusing yourself.

So, if a thread is ever evolving, how can you accuse someone of not sticking to the topic?

Aw, shit. There I went again. Sorry. You'll have to excuse my faux pas. Every once in a while, I forget and resort to logic.

[:)] I know, how embarrassing!

They dont run from them, they know the answers, it cannot be.

If it could be, we can't exploit god so insofar as we are concerned so the old geezer is the equivalent to not existing.

Perhaps I should have fasted 40 days and 40 nights before engaging in a conversation with mnottertail. Good grief.

The acknowledgement of evil is semantically equivalent to failure to acknowledge the existence of good and evil. According to Fr Gabriele Amorth "Remember, when we jeer at the Devil and tell ourselves that he does not exist, that is when he is happiest." http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/1260364/posts

I wrote more, but sometimes it is best to keep it simple. For example, I wrote

The scientific community is being hypocritical here. On one hand they are very much concerned with specialization and regard problem spaces as distinct until proven otherwise, but when it comes to religion, they feel entitled to be experts; expert enough to dismiss it. People of faith simply view the two problem spaces as mostly distinct.

I feel the real point is you have shown a genuine interest to be respectful. Few bother.

Oh Yeah, and when the theme doesn't vary a whole lot and it the act of following someone around threads for the purpose of antagonizing them, it's called STALKING.

Okay everybody, my bad ... the new EVOLVED THEME is stalking HEY LUCY Got A Sec? I want to harass you for a bit per our new activities director.

I know, how embarrassing!

It must be... that's usually the way newbies who beat dead horses end up feeling. You have my sympathies.

tazzygirl -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/24/2012 6:39:44 AM)

Ohhhhhh I see how it is... only Lucy is good enough to stalk

Hmpf....

I dont feel special tho.
Its not a very effective ploy. But... it figures.

My work shows for example that zero tolerance policies are contrary to morally upright behavior.

BenevolentM -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/24/2012 2:40:59 PM)

DesideriScuri, I went to the web page you suggested http://www.pyramid-gallery.com/LamentConfig.html. This is my favorite quote from the page.

"Each box is unique for each person, a different puzzle requiring a different solution, a solution that is a ritual. It can never be easy to solve the box; it is something someone has to work at, and something someone has to want."

- excerpted from "Bolinger's Encyclopedia of the Occult" -

In other words a love affair where you unlock your lover. A person could be thought of as a puzzle.

Another quote:

"...By his 88th year, Phillip LeMarchand had gone far beyond that first small puzzle. He had become one of hell's most prolific prodigies, eventually returning to his architectural education to design entire buildings that were puzzles in themselves."

- Valentina Sprague, Architect of the Damned. Pentacle, June 1967

Interesting, a theory of hell.

I suspect the difference between Heaven and Hell is the difference between generalities and specifics. Hell is specific whereas Heaven is general. To love a lover verses to love mankind. Either way something is wanted.

BenevolentM -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/24/2012 3:03:00 PM)

Oh dear "At this point it is believed that LeMarchand had murdered thirty-seven people." http://www.pyramid-gallery.com/TriumphOfJudas.html this sounds to me like an argument for forgiveness. Stop already!

I suppose the message is if you are going to hell, you might as well do it in style. Is this not the work product of hopelessness? Why stop, the matter is hopeless.

BenevolentM -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/24/2012 3:23:04 PM)

Here is a puzzle box for me: The Marriage of Heaven and Hell

BenevolentM -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/24/2012 4:05:51 PM)

SternSkipper control yourself. Your accusation is likely irresponsible. He is objecting to what he perceives as bullying and now you are coming in as a bully to protect the bullies. Just accept the fact that it is entirely reasonable to believe that these two have a personality conflict and both of them visit the same threads. Put the two together and it gets slightly volatile. What DesideriScuri said in his defense is entirely plausible. Now what you said may have been said in the heat of the moment. Personally, I think you should apologize to DesideriScuri. Ok, you have an opinion, but it seems clear at least to me that you overstepped. Be a peace maker instead of a trouble maker.

Listen, the way I deal with one malcontent  exhibiting bad behavoir doesn't even come close to the offered analysis. What you said was just pablum.

Ah, magic words moment. So you are accusing me of being a hypocrite? I do have a love affair with the fair sex. Though other men could be thought of as competitors I harbor no ill will towards them. Everything seems to be pabulum with you. Excellent elitist word by the way, pabulum. At least you are fun to work with.

Meditating on the word, malcontent for a few seconds. You are being dismissive and elitist in attitude. What you wrote suggests that you are someone who has taken care of all their needs in life and you are suggesting that others do the same. Take care of those needs! I would argue that people do not take care of their needs because they are human. To be human is to belong to a community, a village as Hillary Clinton might say. Can self-reliance be virtuous? It certainly can be, but to be human is to engage in paradoxes. Perhaps you are a suffering malcontent that sees this paradigm as a way out, your LeMarchand puzzle box. You do seem grumpy.

Actually I came into THAT conversation VERY gently... but you clearly haven't followed the chain of the conversation. He's using a Hack-Kneed old technique from around here where the the person conducting the offensive  goes victim at the first identifiable strong words from someone who is bothered by their conduct.
Course I shouldn't ruin a good mancrush for ya... have a great time.
