But the first child labor laws were to reduce their workload from 14 hrs. a day to 12 hrs. a day, 7 days a week reduced to 6 days a week. Let's not forget that. That right there puts the US at a disadvantage to modern day China.

Work day in modern day china may suprise some. There was recenly a thread I believe about california outsourcing to china components of one of the bridges in san francisco bay. The subtext being the working conditions in china.

Sorry folks but that is the stark reality, except that the kids in today's China work force are older and do not work quite as much as children did 80-100 years ago in the US or in the UK or Europe.
