who has told you this?

The people of the leftist persuasion. I first remember seeing some of them on TV. Back in the 60s. Something about Great Society, or something to that effect.

How about a name instead of snark.

I never address you specifically. How could I? I neither know you nor your situation.

Yet you seem to have no problem criticizing it.

I never even implied that I think your receiving a government check every month is wrong.

Do you even read the infantile shit in your posts?

Hell, I sincerely wished you well. I mean it. For as long as it lasts.

With the caveat that by my so doing the country would crash. Trust me mine will last because without me and my kind your kind would not be able to exist.

But I'm constantly told that poverty can be solved by throwing money at it and/or by legislation.

Really!!!who told you this?

These people who tell me this are smart, aren't they?

Until you tell us who they are it would be difficult to say with any accuracy.

I don't think that will work, but who am I to say otherwise.

Someone who is woefully uninformed and unbelievably ignorant that is who you are.

It's not like we've had enough time to assess the success of the program(s). I mean, it's only been since the 60s.

Please list the programs you wish to discuss and we will find out if they were successful in their purpose.

Where is your boat parked? Unless it is in your mom's back yard it is on federal or state property.
If you find that your sailing talent is exceeded by your desire it would be the coast guard and not private enterprise that will come to your rescue. This would be a cost far beyond anything you have paid in taxes for your whole life.

LMAO. Grasping at straws aren't you? Firstly, in the water is not on anything. Secondly, state or federal jurisdiction as to the waterways, lakes, etc, so what of it? I'm at a private dock. Your knowledge of the water is evidently lacking. But what do I know. Only been doing this for 25 years.

As to my rescue, you do not know that. Might be a fishing boat. Or a Carnival Cruise ship You sure do a lot of assuming.

Nah! Snark will do. I have 40+ years of history, economics and the math to back the economics up on my side. What does the left progressive have besides its bleeding heart hemorrhaging all over the place? Oh, that's right - other peoples money. At least till it runs out.

Nah! Snark will do.

Once again you have been shown to be posting opinion with no validation

I have 40+ years of history, economics and the math to back the economics up on my side.

So far you have only posted ignorant unsubstantiated opinion, and have yet to back it up with any of your alleged knowledge of the facts of history, economics and math.

What does the left progressive have besides its bleeding heart hemorrhaging all over the place?

Child labor laws
Unions
8 hour work day
5 day work week
Lunch breaks
Maternity leave
osha
etc
It would appear that your vaunted vast knowledge of history is only halfvast.

That is quite interesting. The economics (and history, and economic history) I am intimately familiar with say a very different thing, long before we get to normative economics. In any event, the notion of financial deregulation as having benefit to the economy has certainly been blasted all to hell. No one conversant in economics in any proper sense could look at von Mises' pronouncements and not laugh.

But that is the free marketers' story and they're sticking to it. Ignore the actual numbers, the harsh results, in times past and in times present. Thank you.

Your boat is on the water. Not on the hard.

Secondly, state or federal jurisdiction as to the waterways, lakes, etc, so what of it?

The harbor was developed by the state or federal govt. that is what of it.

I'm at a private dock.

You are in a state or federal harbor. But then you knew that.

Your knowledge of the water is evidently lacking. But what do I know.

Obviously not very much.

Only been doing this for 25 years.

Perhaps one day you may get the hang of it.
I on the other hand have been sailing since 1954. If you are as good at math as you claim you are that would mean that I have been sailing for more than twice as long as you.

As to my rescue, you do not know that. Might be a fishing boat. Or a Carnival Cruise ship You sure do a lot of assuming.

You seem to be saying that you would exchew coast guard help. Do you also refuse them access to your tupperware tub when they come calliing?

Child labor laws
8 hour work day
5 day work week

(pardon my abbreviation)

But the first child labor laws were to reduce their workload from 14 hrs. a day to 12 hrs. a day, 7 days a week reduced to 6 days a week. Let's not forget that. That right there puts the US at a disadvantage to modern day China.

Sorry folks but that is the stark reality, except that the kids in today's China work force are older and do not work quite as much as children did 80-100 years ago in the US or in the UK or Europe.

Here's the news:

Screw all this "leftie" or "political conservative" crap. Right now. Shut up.

People in this country and around the world need for all of us to STFU and rout the retards from the "P-5 plus one" of the UN, quit shipping guns, artillery, and choppers to every dictator in the world, impose an energy consumption reduction scheme across the board.

And for those in the US; the Constitution was intended as a model of responsibility of government to its citizens, all of them, not as a sheet to hide behind in the idiotic claim of it being solely in service to your own fatuous selfishness. The 'self interest' thing is from positive economics, a necessary assumption for basic models. It is nowhere in the US Constitution, for good reason. Get over it.

Work day in modern day china may suprise some. There was recenly a thread I believe about california outsourcing to china components of one of the bridges in san francisco bay. The subtext being the working conditions in china.

Quite true

You are preaching to the choir here.
